14 heading to around 30 with blue skies. Yes!

After a week of frigid temps followed by a week of heavy snowfall the pending week is expected to be a quiet one. Seasonal temps and no storms on the way. With what we have been thru the past couple of weeks boring sounds great.

Don’t know what I’m going to do today but the one think I’m not going to do is move any snow. Should be done with that for now.

It's just above freezing now. It might snow again or be freezing rain. I have no travel plans and used the snow blower yesterday.
Coffee is a little late today as I stayed up a little late finishing the series I was watching. Joe Pickett. It was interesting, about a Game Warden in Wyoming. Certainly fiction, but an interesting watch. Probably because he carried a revolver. Coffee is in the Henry mug.'
I am making home made bread today. I just got done grinding the wheat kernals. Now to get the bread ready to go, after another cup of coffee. I have found the best results are from my thrift shop find bread maker and a recipe that I found on the internet. I've looked all over for the recipe and I don't think it made the move with me, so I'm going to look on the internet and drink this cup of coffee. Either way, fresh bread to go with the venison roast that's going to be Sunday Dinner.

11 right now with a high of the upper 20’s expected. The weatherman this morning mentioned something about a possible half inch of rain later in the week. If that happens where I live it is going to be a mess. Currently we are either deep snow or ice (plowed areas including the road) and rain on top of either is not going to be pretty.

I took this pic this morning as the sun was coming up. It’s hard to know what your looking at unless your a local but what you see is the large dark blob in the middle is Mt. Spokane. It’s a 6000’ mountain with a nice ski area and a huge state park. To the right is the sunrise and the white strip below is a line of fog. The beauty will be lost in the tiny photo but it’s really a nice view that we didn’t have until the new neighbor did some tree clearing and thinning.

thanks you .... we are firm believer in the power or prayer .... she's not well but is much better .... the next 3 days are supposed to be very cold .... should an good opportunity arise, we do plan to start unloading our camper .... eggs, sliced tomato, sausage and Folgers have come and gone ....

Another loaf of bread is baking in the maker. Other than that, no plans for the day.

Well, it's after lunch already. I got up and went to the retirees breakfast this morning.
It was 7 below when I went over to the Cracker Barrel to join them. Had coffee, eggs,
bacon and toast and lots of BS from the guys. Enjoyable but every time now I learn
about the deaths of old friends. Today a fellow that worked for me for several years.
Seems like they have some weakness in their health and Covid takes advantage and kills them.
This fellow today was twenty years my junior.

31 with a projected high of 40 .... crunchy grass with a heavy frost .... no chance of precip but snow is mentioned in the weekend forecast .... nothing on tap for today, but medical appointments resume tomorrow

28 with a wet snow falling when I got up but it’s stopped. There’s some talk on the local news about freezing rain today. Hope not. Probably get above freezing today and for the next few days and hopefully that will melt some of the ice on our local community road. It’s a mess.

The contractor who is going to do my tree thinning project contacted me yesterday saying he plans to move his equipment to my place this week. Looks like I’m going to have to move some snow to creat a place for him to stage. He uses an excavator with some type of a grinding head on it and I think it’s a big excavator not a mini. This is going to be fun to watch. He’s been working up near the border in an area that’s pretty high and told me last fall that he would do my project when he got snowed out of his current job. I used to hunt mule deer where hes’ working and it’s some pretty big country.

It was 42° this morning on the dog walk. Right now it's 59°with a high of only 61°. Fixed bacon, eggs, toast and coffee. Got to do some work today that I should have done yesterday.

Has been a mild summer for me in Aus, not sure we have even cracked the 100 mark so far. Most days mid 80's-mid 90's and 4" of rain for the year already. I must be getting old or soft or both as I have been turning on the aircon when the house gets to about 80.

Certainly a bit different to 2019 when we were on fire with temps above 110 and no rain in sight.
Waiting to see what the end of the month brings as quite often that is when we get a week or more of 100+ days straight.

We had a zoom meeting with the Legion Gun Club last night and I briefed them on out progress
with the "Veteran's Village" we are building. Things are going well with that.

“We’re having a heat wave”…

Woke up to a nice 34 with a predicted high of 41. Enjoyed listening to the melt off running into the rain gutters last night. A little rain today then a more seasonal period with lows in the upper 20’s and highs in the mid 30’s. After today it’s supposed to stay dry for several days.

The limbing project contractor told me yesterday that he uses a full size semi truck and trailer to haul his excavator. That’s going to be a problem on our road to get turned around. We have a culdasac at the end of the road but our snowplow guy has pushed a bunch of snow into it making it much smaller than normal. I’m going to see if I can use my loader to push/pile the snow back so hopefully he can get turned around.
