So last night the youngest daughter and her family came out. It was her birthday and we always
take them out to eat to a place of her choice. Last night it was a place called the "Porterhouse".
It's know for steak and seafood, and it's expensive. She had a large Angus filet smeared with blue
cheese and a salad and baked potato. She said it was really good. I had a Sea Bass dinner. It was
all good especially the Taqueria Martini I had. The ladies had wine.

It was spendy, but she's worth it.

Tonight, we're doing a prime grade ribeye. Carol and I always split one. It's about 1+1/2" thick. Looking forward to it.
Crazy, it was just under $28.00 for just the one.

I'm about to mix up a Manhattan before tonights dinner. We made a pot of chili Friday and now it's time for leftovers. Tonight we'll have chili slaw dogs. I love those dang things.

Many years ago when I was still at my parent's house, my Mother used to make this hot dish, (casserole to you non Minnesotans),
that was hamburger, onions, Soy Sauce, Worchester Sauce, cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, and rice. One day at dinner a retarded but gentle young farmers son stopped in and she offered him some. He ate all that was left so we named it after him. Tonight we are having "Paul's Hot Dish". I can smell it baking in the oven.

I will accompany it with a nice cold Lager and later a Martini. Perfect for a cold night at home in a warm house.

Sounds good Coop send me the receipt.

Brown one lb. of ground beef with
1/2 cup of onion,
1/2 cup of celery,
1/2 cup of red or green peppers
all chopped.
Place in large casserole dish.
add
one can of cream of chicken soup
one can of cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup of uncooked rice
1 1/2 cups of water
3 table spoons of Worchester sauce
2 table spoons of soy sauce
stir
Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees stirring occasionally to keep rice from sticking on bottom.
Serve with Choy Main Noodles and soy sauce.

I like to stir the noodles into the mix to add crunch.
