Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
WTF woke up this morning with a Winter Weather Advisory on my phone, wind chill advisory 30-45 below 0. Sunny today: currently -10; expected high is -5, the overnight low was -18. Not much today, head up to hospital to see wife and watch the bowl games!

Very odd weather. It got up to around 75 here today! Had the windows open while watching the Hurricanes beat the Columbus Blue Jackets 7 to 4. They came back from a 4-0 deficit and scored 7 un-answered goals. They have not done that since 1989. Back then, they were the Hartford Whalers.

Very high winds, temperature around 14F and lots of whiteouts and drifting snow. Situation normal for the mountains.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Just finished the evening chores. Had to put the hay in the horse shelter or it will all be blown away before they can eat it tonight. First thing I did was dig out the stock tank so they could get to it for water because it had drifted in and they hate walking through deep crusty snow. By the time I had fed hay it was drifted in again. So dug it out further and will have to check it later before bed. The wind is blowing about 120 kms right now. Driveway is blown clean down to the gravel but lots of drifts around the buildings now. Looks like a few days of busting up snow.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Clear today with a low of -17: currently -10; regular heat wave with a high of 15. Colder than a polar bear’s nose out there so I think I’m going to stay inside. Get the missus healed up and rested. Besides that we’re quarantined for 10 days
Everybody have a great day!

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
After a high of 86° yesterday it's now 31°! That's a big difference. Anyway, had oatmeal, apple fritter, and coffee for breakfast. Going to do a bit of work today on a flute and then watch football. Wishing the best for your bride BRM!

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
10 degrees heading to 23. First trip up to the 20’s in several days. Of course with the good sometimes comes the bad. Yes it’s warming up but the warm front is bringing in widespread snow. For me the forecast is 5-10” from tonight until tomorrow evening. Looks like today is the day to get some outdoor stuff done and tomorrow is the day to stay inside and enjoy the snowfall.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Assuming the road to the range is accessible, and the shooting sheds are not drifted in, and the target boards are not buried in snow....I will make smoke tomorrow.
...milder weather but windy. 28F right now, same tomorrow and then maybe up above freezing next weekend.
