Re: New Year's 2022
I may go over to the oldest daughter's for a spell, but I'll most likely be in bed and sound a sleep by the time Mid-night arrives.
Same as the past Several years, it'll be here when I get up.
Bout like a couple weeks ago when the tornado was headed this way.
I feel asleep in the recliner in my cave, wife came back here and woke me up.
The power was already off, she says alert went off a min. ago and one should be here in 8 mins.
I got up went to the bathroom and then straight to bed and right back to sleep.
Woke up next morning a little before 7, power was back on and I made coffee and went on about my business.

Yep, just going to take it easy around here Fri night. Been there, done that. Like Randy said, it'll be here when we wake up.
Re: New Year's 2022
No Guy Lombardo, no Dick Clark. New Years Eve seems to have no class. On this third day of Christmas I wish all of you a Merry Christmas season and a safe and happy New Year.
Re: New Year's 2022
Take a few hits off the peace pipe and get a good night sleep. The weather will be nasty so hopefully minimal fireworks (they scare Buster)

Other than enjoying the two days off that come with it no plans at all. It has just been one more day just like the other days for me for years.

Now here’s an advantage of living in the Pacific time zone. Generally we force ourselves to stay up until 9:00 PM and watch the ball drop and call that our “old folks” New Year’s Eve celebration. There have been years that I didn’t make it.

Re: New Year's 2022
We will just be thankful to see 2021 go away. It's been a bad year all around. We lost too many friends and relatives
this last year and spent too much time trying to figure out what to do relative the covid. We have not traveled much
and have spent a lot of time at home. We have however celebrated holidays and special occasions such as birthdays
and anniversaries unlike 2020. Gradually we are just ignoring the Covid stuff and getting on with our lives as much as
we can.

Re: New Year's 2022
Don't know which was worse 2020 or 2021. We can only hope it will be better in 2022. Robyn and I aren't planning anything special. Fireworks (illegal in city limits but some don't care) will awake us at midnight.

Re: New Year's 2022
No plans for New Years Eve. We are way past the parting and coming home at 4 - 5 am. Like the last few years we will have a nice dinner, force ourselves to stay up till midnight and then be in bed by 12:15.
Although Covid changed a lot of our plans in 2021 we did manage to make two trips to Aruba for 2 weeks each. We also traveled to Georgia to visit friend we haven't seen in 10 years. We did have to reschedule our December cruise, but we have a lot to be thankful for. As for 2022 we are planning as much travel as we can starting with Aruba at the end of March and maybe in October (working on that now). We also have a cruise booked for December and maybe another trip to Georgia in September.
All I can say is damn Covid and full speed ahead.

Used to celebrate with friends when I was a lot younger. Now I just want to stay off the roads.
