11 degrees, coldest day yet in this part of NH. Snow guns heard in the distance. Wood stove loaded up and toasty.
Are the snow guns you mentioned for avalanche control?

Weather is a funny thing, it was 19 last night at around 8:00 and 22 at 6:00 this morning. I like that trend but it’s not typical. High today is 28 with a chance of some light snow but the bulk of the storm is expected to stay south of my place. This is my trailer when I got home on Saturday from moving my son. Yuk. The county sprays the roads with a de-icer and it can be corrosive to metal. Hate the stuff. Of course all my hoses and pressure washer are put away for winter so I can’t wash it off. If I take it up to town and use a car wash it will just get scummy on the way home. I shoveled and broomed as much off as I could and used some buckets of warm water to clean as much of the de-icer from the frame as possible. Winter, ugh!.

Jim, that peanut brittle looks great.

I'm having late coffee in one of my surviving Scout mugs.

It's a nice sunny day and the temp is climbing out of the 20's into the low 30's.

If the day stays sunny, I may try to get out to look for a rabbit to join the one my step son brought over yesterday. Two in the stew pot would be twice as nice. I'm not sure how far I can get with the cane and shotgun, but we shall see.

Enjoy your day.

Today is first day of Winter and looks and feels it too at least for us in Va. Gloomy and heavy clouds with high in upper 30's .
Got some Christmas running around to do today like finding eggnog. Seems it gets hard to find around here.

We met with old friends last evening for dinner and exchanged Christmas treats and candies.
Now it will be my burden to eat them. 😁I am happy to help so Carol isn't tempted by them.
She's gradually building a big Christmas Eve inviting friends and neighbor as well as family. She
likes to entertain. Me, well, It 's OK I guess.

15 heading to a high of 25. We are under a Winter Storm Watch for 2-4” of snow tonight into tomorrow. Then more snow on and off thru Christmas so all the kids getting new sleds will have the opportunity to use them immediately. Whoopee.

Not much going on today other than going to the local butcher to order a Christmas prime rib. Son is coming over today, he works from home and his internet isn’t installed yet. The installer was supposed to do it last week but he slid off the road and got stuck in the ditch less than a mile from my son’s place. My son will work from our place today and the installer is supposed to do the install this afternoon. Hope he stays on the road this time.

Might take the 41 for a little walk later.
Number 2 grandson will be here a little later and he LOVES walking around the woods.

41 on its way to 53 with almost no chance of rain .... yesterday's hours of rain has softened the soil which requires us to delay towing our camper to where we will spend Christmas with family .... our rig is heavy, no way we want to create tire ruts getting in there .... also, they are calling for a low of 23 tonight which (thankfully) is the lowest of only two subfreezing temp forecasted for the rest of this year

Fair 10°F -12°C
Humidity 85%
Wind Speed Calm
Barometer 29.98 in
Folgers and cookies.
It's not Christmas Eve yet and we don't need to worry about tire ruts in the lawn.😁
However, there is a warming trend coming. It's supposed to be in the 40s Friday, (Christmas Eve), and
that would break a record for this area, but don't get used to it. Back in the 20s Christmas Day and a
cold front by Sunday with snow.
Shop work is done and Christmas gifts are completed and mostly delivered.
Now to clean up.

52° this morning at 6:30 a.m. It's now already up to 63° and by Christmas we're supposed to be back into the 80's. Cereal, strawberries, and coffee this morning. Going to get my haircut this morning (both of them!) before starting work.

24 heading to 37 later. Another 3+ inches of snow overnight, enough that I’ll have to do something about it. A couple days of warmer mid 30’s weather then we are expecting what is locally called an Arctic Blast. One forecast shows that by Monday we can expect a high of 8 and a low of minus 14. Usually these forecasts are dialed back some as the day gets closer. Hope so. Or as Ranch Roper says, “ a good day to make some smoke”

Looks like today will be shoveling, blowing and plowing the white stuff around.

No white dirt here thank goodness, and definitely no white Christmas as it's due to be near 70. :o
