Re: The Adult Evening Beverage
I hope your vacation was restful. End of a long day. Just made a martini. If it's good, I might make another.
I hope your day was good, tell us about it.

I had a pretty good day, picked up a nail in the right rear tire of the RAV4, only 3000 miles on the tires but a patch should hold if I am as lucky as I have been in the past with a patched tire. Was a lovely evening tonight to take the chihuahua for a walk, low humidity. So now I am having a Bud Light and watching the game between the Red Sox and the Orioles. Later, the Giants and the Dodgers.
Re: The Adult Evening Beverage
Sounds like a nice evening. I could use a beer today too.

Re: The Adult Evening Beverage
Evening gents. I was told several years ago by a good friend, who has since passed, that if I ever went to Jamaica again, that I should buy a bottle of Appleton Estates 21 year Rum. Well, I found a bottle, cheaper than in the states, and purchased it. Tonight, my wife an I put a little in a snifter, and toasted our friend. It was surprisingly good. We drank it neat and my wife, who is not much of a drinker, really enjoyed it. I can't recommend it because it is just too expensive for me to recommend. But, if anyone gets the notion to try a good rum, you have to try this one. Good night and take care and be safe.

That was a nice story, jwc.
Funky looking bottle. I don't drink anything anymore except bourbon, except of course beer.

Re: The Adult Evening Beverage
I was just about to post about bourbon. Had the chance to visit a few distilleries in Kentucky last week and had a great time. If anyone ever gets the chance while passing through Kentucky, it's well worth your time to visit Wild Turkey, Buffalo Trace and Four Roses. I'm sure the others are great as well but these are the three we had the chance to visit ourselves.

My FINE eve. beverage consisted of lots of water and shampoo !!
I put it here because I can still taste/smell it. My dog Petey found a skunk last night about 9:30
Here he is w/a ground hog, but never found a skunk before [just been lucky] YUKK !!
I was in gar. and he was out making his rounds and he came in gar. all wet w/red eyes.
Didn't take long to figure it out
Poor guy had to sleep in his cage on the porch, not
too bad today, but he prob. won't be in bed again tonight !! Got to get a new collar

Tea time here. Nice night. Cool. Saw new Magnificent 7 at the show. If you like shoot 'em up westerns, holy nelly there's lots of gunfire! Lots of 1866 Yellowboys, a few 1860 Henrys, dozens of Colt Peacemakers of various barrel lengths, and some open top conversion revolvers too. Probably Ubertis.

Thanks for the information on the new M7 movie. Maybe we can rent it when it comes out on dvd.
I/we watched the old, original, M7 movie many times and we donated our dvd copy to the MC Public Library with many other movies.
Take care.

It was a nice day here, we have tons of wildlife in the yard, the geese and ducks are flying around here like crazy and this evening we are listening to some music. Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, Patsy Cline, etc.
We may watch a movie later on.
My husband made a big pot of beef stew too. It was delicious.

Pots of stew, soup, chili, etc are our favorite meals. We can get a couple days out of them and they are especially good in the cold weather. Now I want some.

I could listen to Patsy Cline all night long. What country music was is what country music should be today. I especially like "Willie's Roadhouse" on Sirius Radio, but we still have a lot of country CD's for the house. Having a Bud Light and watching baseball tonight. The windows are open and it finally feels like Fall.Catherine wrote:It was a nice day here, we have tons of wildlife in the yard, the geese and ducks are flying around here like crazy and this evening we are listening to some music. A couple of Angry Orchard ciders tonight at my friend Jim's annual pig boil. Pig roast/Cajun seafood boil w/scallops shrimp sausages and mud bugs and all the sides/desserts. Jim having a shot on the "ice louge"
and my freind Darryl's homemade hog roaster. Good time with old friends

Nice long day of shooting today followed by movies with my wife. I recommend going to watch Sully by the way. Really well done.

Spent some time horseback, and got some winter-prep work done at home. Good day. Steak and corn cobs for supper! Then tea time and watch a movie likely.

We got the camp closer to being ready for winter this weekend. Got home a few hours ago. Some Canadian Club Reserve then off to bed.
I hope your day was good. Glad to hear Magnificent 7 remake was good.
