Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Mostly sunny this morning, switching to partly cloudy and finally cloudy: currently 36 with an expected high of 43; no wind, 2 mph. Got an unexpected call from the Doctor and my wife has two appointments this afternoon, so my day is planned. Everybody have a great day!

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Well, I no sooner said things were good and we got the news that my wife's best friends husband, who lived down the lake from us, died from Covid yesterday morning. He was only sick a few days and he was 61 with no underlying health problems. Also the Pastor of the church they attended at the north end of the lake (who was also a friend of ours), was taken by ambulance last night and is in poor condition with Covid.
I am told the church hasn't held service for the last two weeks. I wonder how many more are exposed.
Denny was a lumberjack and we traded guns back and forth. I will miss him.
I'm feeling a bit down.

Fair 30°F -1°C
Humidity 80%
Wind Speed E 12 mph
Barometer 30.15 in On the rise.

Folgers and Granola. Add a home made chocolate cookie to that.
Carol had a tearful conversation with her dear friend yesterday afternoon. She pledged to help her

Kinda down today. Guess I'll putz around in the shop.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
32 heading to 34 with a mild day on tap. Had a hard rain overnight that if the temps had been a couple of degrees colder I’d be out plowing snow today. Might see an inch or two Wed. PM and on Saturday (my son’s moving day
) we’re looking at 2-6”.
Not much going on around here today, yesterday I finished my last get ready for winter project which was draining the gas from my 2 cycle stuff and replacing it with fresh treated fuel and running the engines to get the treated gas into the carbs.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Sorry to hear Coop. I think this Covid is going to be around for quite a while.....be careful. Just had cereal and coffee this morning. Started off at a warm and humid 71° this morning at 6:30 (91% humidity). Now it's 75° with a high of 81° predicted. Running the air conditioner in December!

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Drizzle 43°F 6°C
Humidity 100%
Wind Speed SE 5 mph
Barometer 29.61 in
TODAY`S VOLATILE DAY OF WEATHER HAS NOT BEEN SEEN BEFORE IN DECEMBER
An outbreak of severe thunderstorms producing widespread wind damage is expected early this evening. Another round of very strong winds then expected overnight with plummeting temperatures. A flash freeze is likely. Some accumulating snow is possible across western and central Minnesota late tonight.
Folgers and cookies.
Very foggy this morning and they are forecasting severe thunderstorms this afternoon. That might be a problem as we are planning to meet friends for beer and wings around five. Otherwise I guess I'll work in the shop. I am making cutting boards and serving trays for the daughters and daughter in laws. White Oak strips glued and the planed down. I'm cutting a grease ring in the trays and then finishing them with mineral oil. So far I have delivered three of them and they love them. (Or so they say anyway).

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
another morning in the upper 30's, warming quickly into the mid to upper 50's with next to no, or even less, chance of rain .... around noon a friend and I plan to visit with another friend who is in his 90's ... he owned and ran the big game hunting club that we hunted with for many years .... that club was where we introduced our sons to hunting .... memories of those times are very precious to us all
