Re: Official 2016 NASCAR Thread
congrats indeed to the 11 for tonight's win at Richmond .... good short track race .... my girl finished 15th, had a top ten going till the 2 & the 5 bumped her on a late restart and cut a tire .... nursing that tire, she did well to finish .... Tony needs to hang it up now, his temper is out of control .... no way he should have lost it and wrecked Newman

Re: Official 2016 NASCAR Thread
tough break for the 4 when the caution came out and put him a lap down while on pit road .... up until that point he had the car to beat .... good to see the 48 running strong again

Re: Official 2016 NASCAR Thread
I was glad to see Truex win the first Chase race.
Ryan Blaney had a nice top 5 for the Wood Bros (4th place).
Almost had a chance to win it.

Re: Official 2016 NASCAR Thread
the green flag is set to drop on the second race of the chase at 2PM Eastern today's 300 lap at New Hampshire .... Harvick is on the outside looking in, it will be interesting to see how well he can come through the field from his 19th starting position

I'll be switching back and forth between the race and football games. I like Harvick, as well as Tony Stewart. I would like to see Kevin do well today, especially after that unfortunate incident last week where he was in the pits when the caution came out and it put him a lap down because he couldn't get out fast enough. With Tony retiring next year, I have to pick a new driver.

Thought Truex was going to win another for a while, but ended up finishing 7th.
Congrats to Harvick. He's really back in it now.

Well, maybe not last week, but he won again this week.
Truex is sure on a roll.
Would love to see him win the Championship.
Rough day for Harvick, but with his win last week, he advances to the next round.
Four drivers got eliminated from the Chase, including Tony Stewart.

Re: Official 2016 NASCAR Thread
hate it for Tony but he simply didn't make the cut .... the 48 ran strong, if they get on a roll they can really be tough .... the 78 was most certainly the class of the field ... the 24 looked good

Dover is a great place to watch a race. Since my driver is retiring next year I have to choose a new one. I was thinking about Carl Edwards, he seems like a really nice guy and has been competitive.
Does that sound like a good idea?

I've always liked Carl.
He's a great guy and a real good driver.
With very humble beginnings.
He was the one that printed up business cards and passed them out to different car owners.
The cards said something like "Let me be your driver".

Also looks like it will still be on NBC.
I thought I was going to lose out again, but maybe not.
Fox would usually give us the race the next day, but I can never remember NBC giving it.
