Coffee and Granola. Maybe one Orio as well.![]()
They're saying it will finally turn cold next week. We've been lucky so far.
Our son in law, his brother and step father all came out yesterday and we cut firewood.
He has a wood stove in his home in North Minneapolis and burns quite a bit. We cut and split about a cord yesterday.
It was a fun day. I have saws, a splitter, and a tractor to haul the unsplit wood to the splitter, and ten acres of woods.
At lunch time we all (including Carol), went to the truck stop where there is a really good BBQ joint.
On thursday they have the Big Burrito which you can have filled with any smoked meat you want. It's more than I can
eat, so I had the Brisket Reuban. In stead of corned beef it's filled with a lot of brisket and instead of sour kraut it
has their cole slaw. Along with spicy baked beans it was really good.![]()
Site seems to be OK. Load issue should be resolved now.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Al, you may say “life at the beach” but I’m seeing snow falling on your beach.
Finally a return to normal weather for us. Woke up to 25 crisp degrees and we’re looking at a high of 40. Tomorrow brings an insignificant snow storm with local accumulations of about an inch or so. Then Monday we may get a more substantial snow storm that may require “removal”.
Today is gun cleaning day and later the pup goes in for some training.

We've stayed at Ransom Road RV Park a few year back. In fact prior to the Hurricane.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
12-3-21 has proven to be a very different day .... immediately after breakfast we left in Maureen's Camaro on what turned out to be an almost 8 hr round trip drive so as be able to spend just under 2 hours visiting with an old friend from high school .... neither he nor his wife are in good health .... we seldom are anywhere near where they live and it was really good to see them again .... while we are now pretty well tuckered out, we are really glad we made the trip

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Missed the last couple of days. Been busy taking down a sycamore tree in the back yard that had grown way too much and too close to the house. Then got the water oak and two live oaks trimmed up in the front yard. Anyway it's been really foggy the last couple of mornings and very warm. Walked dogs the last two days in short sleeve shirts. Right now it's 70° at 8:00 a.m. Just had cereal, toast, and coffee for breakfast.

Coffee and Granola.
Two more mild days and then the deep freeze comes to visit. Monday it will be in the teens.
I would love to be at the beach with Big Al, but I'd have to go alone. Although Carol is quite steamed
at our daughter right now, but she'll get over it, she and the Grandkids are the reason we have to
stay here until all the birthday parties are over.
Oh well, happy wife, happy life I guess.

Sorry, couldn't help myself a picture of this just popped into my head.
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Coffee and toast today. Supposed to get up to 43º. Called the local Habitat for Humanity Restore to donate 2 great radial arm saws on solid metal bases but they can only pick up until 3:00pm which is when I get off work. So I guess it will have to wait until the first of next year as I will be going to part time work. I want to get them to someone who will use these and this seemed like a good solution.
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Okay everybody, sing along…
“It’s starting to look a lot like Christmas”
Woke up to the predicted snowfall this morning. 32 so it’s a wet snow that is sticking to all the non-concrete surfaces nicely. This storm isn’t expected to amount to much but there is the possibility of a more substantial snowfall on Monday and again on Wednesday. Then some lows in the teens so whatever falls will stick around.
