Folgers and Black Walnut cookies.
Up early to take the motorhome to a shop twenty miles away to get it buffed out.
Then it goes into storage for the Winter. Or till February at least.
Supposed to get up to fifty today but very windy.

Black walnut cookies…now that sounds good!

32 this morning with 42 for a high and maybe some sunny skies. We had the big windstorm as predicted last night and I see no damage from the house but here shortly I’ll go outside and check around. Power went off once but came back on again right away. Tonight’s low is forecast to be…….13…..crap to that! Overnight temps will be below freezing for the next several days.

Got my road cutting and limbing done yesterday so today I’ll start dragging the brush cutter over it.

A lot warmer morning this morning. It was 56° during dog walk time. Only needed a sweater. Currently it's 72° at 9:00 a.m. local time. Supposed to get to 82°. Got a bit of work to do but I'm slowing down. Considering retiring for good at the end of the year. It's been a slow two years.

Raspberry strudels here to your black walnut cookies. Up early to take the truck to the shop for a new serpentine belt. Then filled one propane bottle for the trip. 2.95 a gallon here I was surprised. Windy and 70 right now but some of RR gifts are coming.

currently 54 on its way to 75 later today with only a 2% chance of rain .... supposed to be nice again tomorrow, considerable drop in temps thereafter .... breakfast is history .... wife gone for a massage, I'm sipping coffee while watching Dodge City -- made in 1939, staring Errol Flynn and Olivia de Havilland ... not much on tap for today

Actually a little warmer at the homestead. 34 degrees.
Folgers and the last of the peach pie Carol made for my birthday party.
They didn't finish the motorhome yesterday so I need to make the trip later today to get it home.
It appears to be coming out pretty good. (They're buffing out one side that got streaks in the clear coat.)

Right now the official temp for Deer Park is 14 but my home thermometer shows 19. I’ll take mine thank you. We are supposed to see 38 for a high today and with the blue skies and rising sun I’m seeing right now that should happen. Yesterday didn’t get out of the 30’s as we didn’t get any sun breaks until late in the afternoon. Friday we are supposed to get our first measurable snow, 1-3” so no big deal other than for the commuters.

Finished mowing my ATV trail/road yesterday and after it warms up a bit I’m going to use my tractor loader to try to smooth out some of the bigger humps and dips. It is certainly usable for a high clearance ATV as is but a smoother ride will be nice. No cab or heater on the tractor so hopefully it will warm up some.

Pup got his last shots yesterday so we can now start to take him out for socializing. There are several stores around that allow dogs so he gets to do some shopping. :D

Morning, it's a cool rainy one here, 41°, 96% humidity, with a 9 mph breeze from the North.
Only going to be 54 for a high, quite the difference from yesterday's 79°.
May do some loading after while.

67° when I got up and now it's 62° as a front is moving through. The day's high might have already taken place. Cooked bacon, eggs, toast and coffee for breakfast.

Folgers and some candy I got for my birthday. Best I eat it up because Carol doesn't want the temptation around.
Cold and windy again. Drove the motorhome yesterday in high winds. White knuckle ride.
Our daughter's father in law is coming out the AM to cut firewood. City boy. I have to watch him pretty close.

31 heading to 38 with clouds coming in. Tonight we expect some snow continuing into tomorrow. I may get some light accumulation but starting about 15 miles north of me the forecast is for 2-5”. Hope it stays north.

Going to a funeral for a former co-worker who I worked side by side with for many years. He retired at 70 about 7-8 years ago. He and I used to debate weather it’s better to retire early or later than 65. His position was the longer you work the longer you will live. I had the opposite opinion. We’ll never know who was right as that damn cancer got him. As we know, cancer doesn’t take a side in the debate we had for years. It kills without regard to age or retirement length. :(

The only positive is I will get a chance to see many former co-workers I haven’t seen since I retired six years ago.

up and at'um early (for me) this morning for no apparent reason .... I've come to hate it when that happens ..Frown :(.. biggest project of the day is to drive over to Home Depot and pick up a clothes dryer for our daughter, unpack/install it and haul off the old one ... Home Depot has plenty of appliances in stock but insufficient staff to deliver and set them up .... my job is to pick it up and get it to her place .... our youngest son will do most of the rest

Brrrrrrrr.

33 heading to 37 with snow tapering off around mid-morning. We got 4” of wet heavy snow overnight and I’m sure there will be some tree limbs breaking off. So today looks to be a day of shoveling and blowing around my place and plowing my neighbors place which is paved. My driveway is gravel so I don’t plow it until I get a good packed base of snow. Otherwise I plow the gravel off. This shouldn’t stick around long as we have some warmer days ahead.

Not much planned today. Looking for a project for my shop.

My drive is crushed rock and I have to make sure to get the leaves off so when the ground freezes it
isn't insulated by the leaves. Then with the first snow I plow up my rock. The neighbors are all paved and
I've thought of it but they then have to have their drives sealed and cracks filled. Also their drives are
limited to one lane. I think I'm better off with the rock. About every four or five years I have a load of rock
delivered to fill pot holes and that's all it costs me.

It was 48° this morning at 6:30. Now it's up to 55° at 10:20. Made flapjacks, bacon and coffee this morning. Don't know if I'll do any work today or not. Just going to be one of those days.
