Those Itasca's are very similar to our Journey 36. They are made by Winnebago in the same factory.
Kinda like Chevy and GMC.
Monaco is also a good brand but I think they also closed up a few years ago.
That Tour is top of the line for Winnebago. I've been in a few, really nice.
Ours is a 2002 Journey 36 DL. The Itasca Horizon is very similar but 4 foot shorter so the interior is laid out differently.
Also we have a Caterpillar engine with 330 HP. The Horizon has a Cummins with 300 HP. That should adequate I would think.

I know little about these big units and will read all comments.

My wife has a cat as well and it goes everywhere with us. We do have a carry crate that we put her in on the road.
It's hard to drive with a cat in your lap or walking on the dash if front of you. The cat doesn't like the crate, but she does
like to travel. When on the road the litter box and food are in the bath area and when we stop we put her in there. When parked it sits behind the drivers seat. With this new litter there is no odor. Her food and water are under the steering wheel if front of the brake pedal. We put her bed on the dash and when we close the curtains we close them behind the bed so she can see out all night.
She loves that.

On Monday I plan on returning to the dealership and if the funds are available (I close tomorrow) I will drive one home. I don’t have time to kick tires. Watch for posts on Monday of particular RVs that I might be buying that day.

I know little about these big units and will read all comments.

Make sure you have in writing that they will correct any important problems that crop up immediately. RV service departments are absolutely swamped and you might have to wait three months otherwise. I would never buy a used RV without a third party pre purchase inspection. If you don’t get one, you will never know what ugliness might lurk below that shiny exterior.

How did you finally dispose of all your furniture and stuff? I missed that part of your complicated life style change…..

That is nice, should be as it costs as much as some of the places you were looking at in Nebraska. You could find some acreage to set up a sewer, water and power hook up and maybe a garage/shop for a home base if you didn't want to travel full time.

I'm definitely no expert but based on my limited knowledge I would think a motor home of that size would require at least a 50amp 220 service. Would that limit the number of places you could camp?

It’s 50 amp 110 and most places have that. Some older campgrounds only offer 30 amp service along with a 20 amp. Funny I was just thinking of Nebraska because it’s centrally located.

the reason for the pricing is no slide out which reduces the size of the potential resale market .... the amount of living space required is an individual choice ..... if it meets your wants/needs, it could be worth considering .... at a minimum I'd recommend you pay a good mobile tech to give it a once over (specially tires) and ask about a maintenance record

The London Air is by Newmar which closed up this year. Well, actually Winnebago purchased them.
It's a really nice unit.

It's your money but I think you want at least two slides. We had a MH with no
slides for a dozen years and it was cramped.

I wish I had time to have a mechanic check one out. I like no slides if I’m just part time. If I’m going to be full time I want something nice. My biggest problem now is time. I’m simple running out of it and will have to make a decision based on what I see.

When I was looking at homes I had the agent take pictures of all the flaws. Sometimes you see the glamour and miss the stain in the middle of the carpet. If you take a picture and turn it upside down the flaws often stand out.
