82° currently. Just had cereal, banana, and coffee. Didn't feel like going to the range. Maybe another day. I went out and dusted off the Harley and may take it out for a spin to absolutely nowhere this afternoon just to ride a bit.

Wasn't feeling too good this morning. Slept badly. Aches and pains.
So I slept in while Carol went to church, then we met for brunch at one of our favorite places.
I had a quick Folgers and cookies prior to a shower. Then met her in town.
Country fried steak, crispy hash browns, eggs over easy, whole wheat toast.
I broke a rule of mine and had a bloody mary with a beer chaser. I never ever drink before dinner.
Came home and a quick nap.
Life is good. :D

Looks like winter starts to roll in this week. Next weekend the 1860 Henry takes on my steel spinner target. Watch for the report…

62 on its way to 76 ..... overcast .... on the weather radar we are between different systems .... if both track as projected, we will have very little precip with a small chance of thunderstorms passing through shortly before midnight .... breakfast over, getting ready for the rest of today

38 now and looking at the low 50’s later. We are in between storms so I may get some outside chores done today. Good hard rain overnight, earlier this week I cleaned the muck out of the rain gutters. The rain running into the clean gutters was louder than it was previously and my wife thought there was a problem. A good problem to have! :D

We took the pup up to our property yesterday and he had a great hike on the trails. He did a good job staying close and seemed to really enjoy himself.

Fairly nice day ahead but soaking rain expected tomorrow.
Folgers and cookies.
I have a back pack leaf blower sitting in the back of my four wheeler. Then I have flex pipe running
around to the front where it feeds into an nozzle mounted at the bottom of the brush guard and
pointed to the left, so as I drive the driveway it blows all the leaves into the woods.
Half mile drive through the woods. Works great. :D

43 heading to 50ish with what looks to be some breaks in the clouds. It’s supposed to be dry this morning with more rain coming in later. Had a nice rain overnight. Probably get some more chores done this morning and then the pup goes to the vet at 3:00 for the last of his shots. Then in two weeks we can start taking him out to places that allow dogs like thee local North 40 feed store.

Next week we are supposed to get lower temps with lows in the 20’s. My wife ordered a real nice fireplace screen that will wrap around the wood stove which will keep the pup away. Between the temps and the stove protection I’ll just have to have a fire then. :D But first I have to assemble the screen which according to the reviews is difficult. Should be a piece of cake!!!!

Another warm/hot day for late October. Currently it's 80° and is supposed to reach 90°. Cooked eggs, bacon, toast and coffee for breakfast. The oncology department at Baylor Medical phoned yesterday and I have my initial consult with the surgical oncologist next Monday. Going to clean gutters today as a cold front is moving through and brining rain tonight and the gutters are full of leaves.

Warm and humid. A front bringing rain, wind, and cooler weather will be here soon. I stopped to get a breakfast taco on my way to get my eye injections.

Folgers and cookies. Yeah, I like them.
Supposed to start raining today and give us a soaking in the next 24 to 48 hours. We need the rain.
Hornets have invaded a beam in our home. They enter through a hole they've chewed outside and actually
emerge in Carol's office. I cannot get to the hole. My 24 foot ladder won't reach it, so I've been spraying them
from an upstairs window. It slowed them down, but has not stopped them yet.
Today a friend is bringing a large step ladder and we are going to seal the crack that lets them into the house.
Oh yeah, we live in a modified A-Frame. High pitched roof and very high ceilings in the bedrooms.
We have our gun club banquet tonight rain or shine. :D

37 heading to a sunny but windy 54. Then another two days of stormy conditions but clearing up for the weekend. We had a nice hard rain overnight and all these short storms are starting to add up. But we’re still about .25 inch short of our normal monthly average.

Today I plan to blow all the leaves out of the decorative rock around the house and then use the mower to vac them up. Also lots of pine needles needing the same. I hope this will be the last trip for the mower this year but we’ll see on that. It’s the last piece of equipment I need to winterize but I’ll wait just a bit.
