Well it didn't take long. It think the tombstone should read "Here lies my spinner Big Al, apparently no match for the .50 Cal"
A little Halloween themed range report, I was shooting my Frontier .50 with a .490 lead ball, .010 patch, and 55 grains of Triple 7. No wind, which is why I was able to get on target sometimes. However, I need a more robust spinner or I need to be a better shot. Hit the frame a few times, took off the head of one of the carriage bolts, and the one that hit between the 2 circles knocked it flying. Out of 10 shots I did manage to nail it a few times. When you do it spins quite well. I also didn't have it down in the ground enough either. Live and learn.
It is back from the grave though, just put it back together with new bolts, straightened it out too.
100 yds off hand, not bad for an old fella...
A little bent and cockeyed....
