its been pretty dry in our area ..... the TV forecasters are all excited that we have a 30 some percent chance today .. ;) .. breakfast has come and gone .... my plan for the day centered around taking care of some body metal work in bed of our Sportchassis .... its one of those things that I've put off for months and while the reality is, if its never fixed, it really doesn't matter .... looks like the forecast may well let me put it off for another day

Mostly Cloudy 34°F 1°C
Humidity 100%
Wind Speed Calm
Folgers and cookies.
Slept late this morning. Looks like it didn't quite freeze. The farmers need a freeze to kill the weeds in the beans
so they can combine them easier.
Need to empty out the pole shed today. My friend is bringing his vintage Mustangs tomorrow and I want to store
them in the back. Get the old snow plow out. Seems like I just put away.

Currently 50 heading to 51 later. Wow! The rain has begun and is expected on and off for the next several days. Much needed and appreciated.

After waiting for a couple of months the crew who will install my window well railings are expected here in an hour or so. Be nice to remove the ugly OSB sheets I am currently using to cover them in order to keep the pup from falling in. Me, I’ll probably just hang out inside and watch those poor guys work in the rain.

74° this morning. Cooked some steel cut oats and coffee. Got some bad news yesterday from the CT scan. I've got a pancreatic tumor. It's small but I've got to have surgery so they can biopsy to see if it's benign or cancer.

My urologists ordered the scan. Turns out urologically everything is fine but that's how they saw the tumor. The urologists has referred me to a surgical oncology specialist. I'm awaiting the call for the appointment.

Hear thunder and getting a shower...big rains supposed to be Sunday...everything looking like fall... trees starting to turn....coffee hits the spot this morning for an early riser such as myself...I hear that deer sized caliber ammo pretty hard to find anywhere at the moment.... makes me glad I have enough for my needs . Hope the rest of you out there have what you need as well

Well, we had our hard freeze overnight. Glad I had all the hoses and hose carts drained and put away.
Supposed to only get into the 40s today.
My friend will bring his vintage Mustangs this afternoon and then I'll put everything back in the shed.
Got the old snow plow started yesterday after a 7 month sleep in the shed.

Hey Coop, would love to see a pic of those classic Mustangs once they are at your place.

Jake, best to you and hoping for the best!

42 heading to the mid 50’s and mostly dry today. That’s great as there are two local (regional really) college football games today so hopefully the fans will stay dry. Go Cougs and Go Eags….. :D

The weatherman reminded me that on this date last year we had a very early snow storm. I remember it shut down my winter preps including a planned last run of the mower to suck up pine needles. My poor mower spent the winter very dirty as I didn’t have that last chance to hose it off.

Here’s a pic I took last year on Oct 23.

Snow sucks. 36 overnight and they say 64 today but Im not sure about that. Local hockey team lost there opener last night. And like at all group gatherings the familiar cheers from the crowd that we are hearing so often did take place last night.

Thanks to all for the prayers and wishes. 77° here right now. Don't know the humidity but I can tell it's really up there with a 40% chance of rain. I'm thinking we'll get rain for sure the way it's looking. Cooked bacon, eggs, toast and coffee for breakfast. I have a couple of clients today but nothing major. Hopefully can get some reloading in for the range tomorrow.

41 heading to the 50’s somewhere with heavy rain and gusty winds coming in later. Since we have a break in the rain this morning and I need to take a lawn mower up to our property near the Canadian border we decided to do that this morning. We are planning to bring the pup along and take him for a hike. There are some trails on our place that will be perfect for him to explore.
