Nice. I switched to the Magpul Backpacker stock also. I added the red dot mount and have yet to add the red dot because of cost of an made in America red dot.

Try the sig Romeo 5 it's a good budget red dot. Mines wearing a leupy 1.5-4.5x20

I have never given a thought to the connection of October 20th and the Ruger 10/22. That’s a fun fact and next October I will make sure I shoot mine on that day. Funny, it’s my cousin’s (lifetime hunting partners) birthday and I didn’t even remember to wish him a happy one. Maybe next year I’ll take him shooting with the ole’ 10/22 to celebrate. :D
