40's today and the nights are in the 20's now. My buddy Badger and friends are eating hay now, pasture is all but done. Winter prep all done around the ranch, just the woodstove chimney to clean this weekend.

40 heading to the 50’s somewhere. Last night’s rain didn’t happen so I’m going to run my sprinklers one more time and then blow them out this afternoon. We have several consecutive mid 20’s nights coming this week. Probably not enough to freeze the system but why take a chance?

A beautiful Fall day. Church and then we managed to get into our favorite country restaurant. One of
the TV stations did a piece on it a few weeks ago and since then, it's been swamped.
Country fried steak with sausage gravy, hash browns, eggs over easy and whole wheat toast.
Then to Menard's for a heavy duty polisher and a nice piece of oak to make a new cutting board for
Carol.
This township is a little screwed up. No businesses are allowed. Only agricultural. However if you are
the chairman of the town board it seems you can have an art store on your premises. Carol fights with
the town board defending residents all the time over this. Well, anyway, the chairman had the temerity
to hold an open house art show at his residence selling his and his wife's pottery. Imagine his surprise when the
opposition attorney shows up and purchases a new coffee cup. He came right out to chat nicely, but
the point was made.👀 It was fun actually. I like doing this kind of stuff.🤣

It's cloudy as we had a strong front move through about 4:00 a.m. this morning. It rained really hard for about 90 minutes. Coffee and cereal this morning. No clients so I'm going to do some reloading today.

Coffee is up.

23 heading to 53 with sunny skies on tap. A bit of frost on the pumpkin today and by Wednesday we should get some rain/snow. No snow accumulations expected but if we get some wet flakes coming down it will be fun seeing the new pup experience it for the first time. That’s always a show!

After yesterday’s wind I’ll probably rake more pine needles today and I guess I had better start bringing the summer furniture inside.

66 on its way to 74 .... wasted trip already completed .... drove our Daughter's Suburban (minor damage from being rear-ended last week) to the body shop we use for an estimate .... their computer was down so will have to go back later .... later today we have to drive to a nearby town and pick up a Pit Boss smoker for one of our daughters-in-law .... we will keep it until Christmas for her .... misting heavy enough to activate the automatic wipers on the Suburban, should clear off shortly

36 here overnight and its up to 45 right now. Headed to 70. Clear and sunny. Found an exhaust leak on the Dodge so I need to see about getting it fixed. Its at the head and a common problem with those after some miles. I may need a new exhaust manifold which would be a good thing in a couple of ways. At any rate Im sure it wont be cheap to fix.

Yikes ...23° and even 36° still sound coldish..
40s seems cool enough to ease into fall for me....its interesting how you can slowly adjust..... 30s sounds cold now.... by March it will seem much nicer and more comfy.......
Either way.... coffee up and go forth!

Will that 3cyl pull my boat?👀
Amazon delivered the starter for the Ford 8N last night so I've got that to do today.
Yesterday two VFW friends came out and we cleaned up some downed oaks. They
both went home with a pickup full of split wood. Win, win. It was actually a lot of
fun working together.😎

24 heading to a sunny 50’s somewhere. Then maybe some rain tomorrow which will be appreciated.

Yes, 23 is chilly but for us anyway in order to get that low overnight it means there is no cloud cover. So a 23 degree morning turns into a very nice 50 -60 degree sunny afternoon.

As usual my wife has changed our fence project. She’s number one at agreeing to a plan, getting a couple of quotes based on that plan and then making changes that affect the quote.   But this time I have to agree with her so I’m not busting up on her too bad. However this is going to require me moving our temporary kennel I put in place so that’s today’ project.
