Back porch fun this AM

Post by Vaquero » Fri Oct 08, 2021 6:47 pm

Well mid morning the wife left to run a couple errands, and to pick up the #2 grandson.
And it's been a minute since I had slung any lead. :o Well we have been out of town the past couple weeks.
So I pulled out the Rossi in 45 colt and went to ringing the steel out back. ;)
Then I decided to get the Marlin 444P, if your not familiar, it's an 18" ported barrel version.
Here's a short video of it with a 320+ gr pill that I cast and powder coat.
It really slaps that big gong, the gong is 3/8" thick, and a ft wide and 2 ft tall, and weighs just under 30 lbs.

Heck that was some serious fun, so I went and grabbed the Marlin Cowboy in 38-55.
Check out the difference between the two.
Mind you these are both fairly light loads. :o ;)

No sir, played with the grandson Fri afternoon, and
yesterday I took the wife's truck to a friends and we changed a front wheel bearing.
Installed master cylinder and brake pads and the sway bar bushings.
Also sawed some cedar planks.
Maybe this afternoon after we pull the transmission out of my ole Silverado.
I'll let ya know.
