Shot the big boomer yesterday with heavy loads. It shoots great, but definitely gets your attention. Took a 30-30 out today, and it is a pussycat in comparison. On the fence now as to what to carry next week for elk. Both will do the job within my range parameters. May have to flip a coin.

Sounds like fun, I sent a few down range this morning through a couple of the Marlins.
Has been a while, 444 and a 38-55.
As to the choices, hmmm, have both taken game?
If not that would be my pick.
