Partly Cloudy 64°F 18°C
Humidity 94%
Wind Speed Calm
There were scattered T-Storms overnight but we didn't get any rain out of them.
Folgers and Chocolate chip cookies with Reese's Peanut Butter nuggets in them.😁👍
I over slept this morning. It felt good. :D
Work around the homestead today.
We have a similar black and white. Sorry for your loss. They sure can be buddies.

Mostly Cloudy
64°F 18°C
Humidity 100%
Wind Speed Calm
Folgers and cookies. Light drizzle. We need a lot more rain.
Got the work on the motorhome almost done.
Back in the 80s there was a young teen that needed a home. He was adopted and the
family who adopted him, abused him. They lived nearby and we could hear them screaming
at him through the woods. I was a single parent raising my own son, (my daughter was away in college).
One day he finally fought back and the kicked him out. My son told me he was sleeping in sleeping bag
at the end of our drive so he could catch the school but. Then he could clean up and eat at school.
Making a long story short, he came to live with us. I got him through high school and one year working
construction until he joined the Army. He served in both gulf wars and also did a stint in Afghanistan as well.
Over the years we lost contact. He has a family of his own now and life is busy with children and grand children.
Yesterday he drove in my drive way. We spent a pleasant afternoon working on his truck and talking about
old times. He stayed for dinner. It was great.
He is actually helping the family that had abused him get the parents house ready to sell. He'll be around
for a week or so. He promised to stop back again.

RanchRoper, sorry to hear about your loss. I will say that “Pickles” is one of the best pet names ever!

38 with frost on the northern exposures of my roof. We should see the upper 60’s later with sunny skies. Planning on watching my WSU Cougars take on the California Golden Bears on the gridiron later this afternoon. The Cougs are really struggling this year and I’m not too optimistic on their overcoming the Cal Bears today.

Still, a great day for football.

Fair 55°F 13°C
Humidity 100%
Wind Speed NW 5 mph
Folgers and cookies.
Up early for church, then home for some cinnamon rolls.
The Legion post is having a pig roast today. It was my suggestion and I'm afraid
it's not going over well. We have very few folks signed up. This surprises me.
Pulled pork, potato salad, baked beans, mac and cheese and soft drinks.
We were trying to get families involved, but it isn't looking good.
Oh well, we'll be there.
Now if we had a liquor license so we could sell beer..............

35 right now that is supposed to double to a nice sunny 70. What’s not to like about that!

Light chores on tap including a trip to a neighbors to provide some chainsaw advice and to another’s to pick up some pork belly she grilled and has an excess. Mmmmmm. Then the Seahawks on TV wasting away a beautiful afternoon sitting inside.

86° and sunny. Glad to see it dry up a bit finally. Cooked eggs, bacon, and coffee for breakfast along with some banana bread the wife baked. All is good.

A new week begins....plans ... always with the plans... but never know how we many of them will actually get completed...🤪 so this week....
Of course. Check cows daily that are calving, mow my yard, dig sweet potatoes, clear out section of electric fence along windbreak to lessen chance of grounding out fence, go turkey hunting...paint on next picture....get letter mailed to granddaughter..... plenty on a retired guys list who supposedly has no obligations.... oh yes , and get this first cup of coffee sipped down ..... hope you all manage to whittle down your "to do list" this week as well! Happy whittling!
