Fueling the shortage

This to me just fuels the shortage longer. When people pay these kind of prices for primers it just keeps the prices high. I think this is insane.

I agree Al. Buying hundreds, or thousands more than you can reasonably use in a year is simply hoarding. Get real people! We can do this, together.
Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.

Going to the Shooting store and going to the Harley Davidson store have a lot in common anymore. HD stands for Hundred Dollar doesnt it? Hard to go to the Harley store and not spend that much on accessories.

Re: Fueling the shortage
That's great. Maybe, just maybe I've heard wrong and they're going to be easier to get. Still twice the price they were at the LGS back before the shortage. I could buy a brick of any size for around $35 w/ tax.JEBar wrote: ↑Tue Sep 28, 2021 12:55 pmBrownells has CCI Pistol primers

Jake, spring of '20 I picked up a few for $33 + tax, last summer I bought 3k at $40 +.
Should've bought more each time.

Re: Fueling the shortage
I sure hope they do marine.
Surely/Hopefully this will pass as in the previous situations.
But as Al is sayin, people paying these ridiculous prices aren't helping the price situation.

Re: Fueling the shortage
Couple of months ago one LGS had CCI Lg Pistol for $3.49 per hundred with a two hundred limit. My wife and I each bought 200 and I had hoped that the price would return to normal but after seeing the posted prices above I guess not. This store has not had anymore in stock that I have seen since.

Re: Fueling the shortage
It kind of gets very depressing when it doesnt matter what you are shooting or doing for recreation it seems like its a total fight to do it. Airguns went from no pellets to no guns. Last I checked it was still a fight to get pellets. Smokeless no 22 LR unless you pay a .25 a round. No primers for centerfire and limited powder supplies. Shotgun shells are hard to find to shoot trap. For a while clay pidgeons were sold out. Caps and now powder for black powder are gone. On a happy note I went to Sams today to get some paper towels and toilet paper and they had some. Limit one per customer.

Re: Fueling the shortage
I was in Cabela’s in Post Falls Idaho yesterday and was surprised to see a full shelf of Pyrodex, some smokeless Hodgdon handgun powders and I was particularly suprised to see CCI Mini-Mag SP’s in the 100 pack. At $10.99 per hundred I passed as I’m good for now and did buy some recently for $7.99. Probably should have grabbed a few. I bought some shoes that I’m planning on returning so I may grab some when I do that.
