Wisconsin Homes

Post by Sir Henry » Sat Sep 18, 2021 3:35 pm

I have found a private buyer for my home here in Woodinville and will concentrate on buying even more now. Montana is overpriced and is no longer the Montana I liked.

The buyers I’m selling too will allow me to rent here for up to one year. I’m thinking I may not actually move till spring.

Wisconsin is now high on my list. I’m looking for about 2,500 square feet on at least two acres somewhere away from big cities. An hour away would be about as close as I would want.

Yes. I’m finding homes that I like but not land in the Dakotas.

Wyoming is nice but it really isn’t me. Wyoming is all about ranching. The Dakotas are too blah. Like you say to each their own. I have a cousin that lives there and she loves it there.

I think it was in 2017 that I drove back to Necedah to pick up my teardrop. I visited Joanie and Bill and really liked their home and the countryside.

I like airguns but I still want to shoot rimfire and centerfire on my own property. The areas I find attractive in Wisconsin are all about hunting and shooting.

I don’t have to be a Packer fan do I? My mom was a packer and we had a rivalry going ever since the Seahawks started in 1976.

Gene,
Now you are talking. There were lots of nice looking places there with beautiful views. You don't have to be a hunter or a farmer to enjoy the property. The one cabin had walking trails that make any property nicer. Are you considering homes other than ranch homes? I see a mixture.
I'm glad to hear you have a buyer for your present home. Congrats.

I like log homes and want a place where I can shoot. In Montana I keep hearing the word horse, in Wisconsin I hear the words deer and hunting. Montana has to many CCR’s especially about discharging a firearm. The exception is redneck places where you can do whatever you want to do. I’m finding Wisconsin is far more gun friendly.

If I buy hunting property in Wisconsin I expect people to knock on my door and ask if they can hunt on my land.

Be great to have you as a neighbor, Gene. We're getting fall color, right now. One of my favorite times of the year.

This is typical of Montana property. Notice how much they talk about horses.

This isn’t the log cabin I’ve been searching for but I like it because of all the light it allows. Hunting might not be the best but a berm could be pushed up in the open field. I might be limited to quiet rimfire which is okay with me.
