Learned to shoot with a lever gun when I was 8 yrs. I've been a Henry fan since I got my first. Have several including the big boy golden boy 357 mag/38 sp, 30-30 a couple of 22's and I'm waiting for the delivery of my Henry .17 hmr varmint (that should be in this week) and my 223/556 NATO Henry lever with the magazine (that will be cool). I bought a couple of extra mags for it already but it may be a bit longer for it to come in. Regardless, I reload and for the exception of the .17 hmr, I'm good to go.
I have made sure I keep about 5K of factory in each cal I shoot except for the 6.5 creedmoor and grendel. I do have a ton of once shot brass for all of them and plenty of powder and lead wheel weights ready to form.
On top of my henrys I put Arken scopes. The 223 I got the 6-26x50 ffp and the others 4-16x50 ffp. Even the .17.
I don't deer hunt anymore, but I do enjoy going to deer camp. Can't justify shooting deer when I get so much from my family. I still shoot turkey and wild boar, but the hogs I just drop and forget. We got a big problem here in Oklahoma and ranchers/farmers want people to shoot all they want. But like I said, the meat is horrible and I like shooting them but not hauling them off or burying them.
Glad to find a Henry forum. Since I'm new, I'll screw up. I'm 65 and still can't keep my mouth closed and my ears open. Just swat me across the nose with a rolled up newspaper. Seems to do the trick for the wife.
Thanks for having me. I hope I can add to the conversation

Well, they let you in, so, things must be peachy! Welcome from Ca. You'll probably like it here. Pretty easy going group here.
Like your deal with deer hunting. Haven't done it myself since 2012. Just a desert plinker nowadays, when it cools off some.

Hey Brando. Welcome from Nebraska. That’s a good collection of Henrys you’ve got. Looking forward to your range/hunting reports.
Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.

I moved to OK about a year ago, so far we like it. We are in Central OK, about two hours SE of okc. I had started building my range when I broke my wrist. Lol.
Pics... We love pics.

You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.
I don't look back at the things I can no longer do, I just look forward to the things I still can.

Welcome to you. That .223 lever sounds interesting, I’m going to take a look at it.
