Just coffee and an English muffin, sad news this morning, sister called and her husband had a heart attack over night, not expected to make it. She called priest in and relatives, on our way!

My thoughts and prayers go with you and your family BRM. Drive safe. 54 here this am and made it to 84. I hit the prairie a runnin today with the 22 and my Lyman Plains pistol. Had fun ringin steel and chasin shotgun hulls with the 22. Put a different scope on it and its much better.

Fall is in the air. 48 here overnight headed to 86 today. Bike ride after while then do a few things around the house.

47 heading to 80 or a little bit higher. Smoky skies are back. Nothing burning close by but the winds do what they do.

Got the trailer all winterized and washed yesterday and put away. I just have to finish organizing the shop and button up the interior of the trailer, de-humidifiers etc.

We finally came up on the list for puppies and we are driving to Salt Lake City this coming Saturday to pick ours up. Today and the next few days we will be doing preps for bringing him home. We are very excited, it’s been almost exactly a year since we lost our last dog to old age.

Well bummer, we got to the place for brunch only to be turned away because they had special
event booked for the day. We made the reservations on Thursday. They should have know about it.
That's the second time they did that to us. Last time it was because of short staffing.
This place used to be good but new owners and now it's unreliable.
Found a new place at the Holiday Inn closer to home and it was pretty darn good.
Spanish Omelet with hash browns and toast. I think that's our new place.

Thunderstorms rolling through this morning woke everyone up early. No breakfast yet must listening to the rain and thunder. Going to be an uneventful day I guess. Its really pouring down outside.

Was 62 here at 4:45 AM and the fog is lifting and 69 now at 8:45 AM. Looks like a good weather day in store for today. I like low to mid 70's.

while I do feel much better, don't think I'm ready for hot sausage .... so, once again eggs an bacon but this time accompanied by a large cinnamon roll that totally circumvented my effort to cut carbs .... beautiful day on tap, with a chance of a thunderstorm late this afternoon .... I plan to begin working transitioning our 5'er from summer to winter camping ....

Supposed to get up to the 80s today and all the kids are coming to swim.
We decided last night sitting around a camp fire to close the pool next week. Nobody usually
uses it after Labor Day and its so much easier before the leaves start to fall.

56 heading to the low 80’s with smoky skies again. Next two days will be hot at 88 then a nice cool down to the mid 70’s by Saturday.

Today I’m going to be doing some preps to get ready for our new pup’s arrival. We have a specific place we want him to do his duty so I’m planning to install two small fence sections with an opening in between to help direct him to that area, a visual of sorts. Also installing a motion detector flood light nearby for those nighttime trips and covering a window well that he will have to go past. Don’t want the little guy falling in. We have three of these wells and have contracted with a company to install wrought iron fencing around them. With all the craziness with building this year it will be several months between the bid and contract and the actual install. Fencing companies are going nuts like anything else associated with the home building industry.

Pikes Place coffee is in my cup and its 61 out there right now. Furnace is set for 93 later today. Gonna mow the yard and do a little work on the 5er puller. Sausage and eggs will preempt any work.

Not too bad today and tomorrow, mid 80s but then back to those dern 90's they say for several days or a week. I never get to where I like August during September...it seems a cheat....sort of like having to stay in from recess. .... oh well.... i've got no roaring wildfires. Nor any flood damage,... so I need to keep my moaning dialed down pretty low. Have a good day all!
