Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Good Sunday morning to everyone. Getting ready to go to the range before it gets to be too hot. Going to take the Browning T-Bolt and resight it. It got acting a bit weird on my last few shots the last time I took it out so I'm going to go back to 50 yrds and try to dial it in. 79° with 90% humidity this morning. No rain forecast for today and the high is supposed to get to 99° Just cereal, toast, and coffee this morning.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
60 heading into the 70’s, partly overcast and windy. Supposed to be a mild week ahead with temps in the upper 70’s to 80 and mostly sunny. We’re going to be at a lake in NE Washington and that weather is just about perfect. My cousin was up there this last week and she said they had two days of pretty good rains. That’s music to my ears knowing it won’t just be a dust bowl.
Today is final preps and loading for the trip. Leaving in the morning for the short 90 minute drive.
There is a dirt runway right next to our campsite and people fly in and pitch a tent right alongside it. This is a Federal facility and fire rings (can’t use right now due to fire danger) and tables are provided for the fly in campers. I’ll post a couple of pics I took last year if I can find them. Hard to see in the pics but the parked planes have small tents next to them.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
After church we had made reservations at a nice place for a Sunday Bruch Buffet. We were to be there at 10:15.
We got there at 10:00 and found the doors locked. We waited for a while and finally a nice lady came to the
door and said the Buffet was cancelled and they would have the regular lunch menu at 11:00. "Didn't we get
her email?" Well, no we did not.
We were just there two weeks ago but now they've had to cancel this due to staff shortages. When does all this
stay at home pay end and people have to work for a living again.
After driving around a while we finally found a place that was open and not mobbed. There was a reason for that
I'm afraid. Not that good.
Probably just come home next week.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Oh boy, 44 degrees out there as I type this. We should see the low 70’s here at home today but we are heading up to the lake this morning where it will be a few degrees cooler. We have no plans for swimming or any other water sports other than some casual fishing so this weather is just fine with us. No hookups at this spot as with our last trip. But….this trip will be 30+ degrees cooler so no hot hot hot trailer this time.

Thunderstorm Light Rain in Vicinity
66°F 19°C Humidity 100%
Wind Speed W 5 mph
Barometer 29.97 in
Dewpoint 66°F (19°C)
Visibility 7.00 mi
Thundering right now with more heavy rain moving in.
Checked the rain gauge and we got 3.5 inches already and it's not over.
We needed rain, but not all at once thank you very much.
Guess there'll be no shooting at the range this morning.
Folgers and the last of the pumpkin pie.
I'll probably spend the day clearing downed branches.
We had a lot of wind.

Hatch, have a good time at the lake. Looks like a great place to be. Hope there's no smoke there. It was smokey as heck in Idaho and Wyoming last week. Teton's were hazy even in Jackson Hole.

As of noon we have 4.8 inches of rain. Two large trees were blocking the driveway so out came
the chain saw and the 8N. Problem solved. More firewood. One oak and one black ash.
Telephone guy is here and when he leaves, Lunch!

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Another nasty hot day ahead.. planning on mowing my mother's yard this morning. And then staying in during afternoon.Going yo a special advertised replacement cow sale at a sale barn up at Mountain Grove tonight at 6.
So... another one of those days doing "stuff" .
Coffee is good early. Moon is full and almost bright as day outside...though it doesn't look like a "blue" moon as I heard it's called.. just a pretty summertime moon. Suits me. Best to all you folk out there with your various plans today, doing your own "stuff".

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Good morning, another hot humid day on the rise, 71° at the moment with 98 % humidity, and a high of 97 later.
Sounds like a good day to hit the water. We're headed to the river here shortly, my buddy has a pontoon and invited us down.
