Thanks for the salute Al. I thought I would drop by while I was enjoying a Jim Beam and water. Mary and I had our first meal at the new place tonight. We aren't full moved in yet, but the grill is on the deck and I pulled a complete salad from the garden and raised beds. Local corn and local beef on the grill. Not a bad way to start eating at the new place.

Yes, I retired for a second time. The last time too. I still have a part time job. One I still love. I have more time to hang out here with all my friends. Life is short, so, Salute!

P.S. When I grow up, I still want to be RanchRoper.

Sounds like a delicious dinner Jake, enjoy it.

I'm having a Poppa's cocktail. I drove all day to camp and back to retrieve our bicycles. It's nice to be able to do things like that now. I spoke with my friend and neighbor for a few minutes before heading back. Four hours up (from the new place) and three hours and fifteen minutes back (to the old place). 22.7 mpg in the F150. Not bad. Cheers to all on the forum.

On my second shot of Dewar's. Had to take the sis-in-law's dog to the vet this afternoon for the final time. Wife and I took the wheelchair van so she could be with him in his final moments. Always hard no matter the circumstance. Didn't do any work today as there was none. Going to tackle the lawn in a few minutes when it gets a bit cooler before dark.
