On my second Shiners. Getting tired of smoke. Wish it would rain big time on all the fires.
Yeah, my buddy Steve that lives out there posted a pic yesterday from his deck.
You can usually see a nice mountain range in the background, nope.
He said earlier it was better but still pretty smokey.

I'm having a few B&T's and thinking a shot of Cazadores may be in order shortly.
Mark, how's your mother?

RP
Thanks for asking Randy!
Mom is back home and doing fairly well. I guess off and on dimentia is a part of her life now. Of course it affects all of us. Carol and I headed up to the cabin today which is where I am now. Our trip up was delayed until today because Carol was sick. I'm up late to check the forum and sipping a little Larceny. Hope to find the time to do some shooting this time, as most chores are done.
Brought the new 4-wheeler also, so hope to enjoy the mountainside. We will only be here till the 18th this trip though because Carol has to be back close to home for a time. She owns a condo in Asheville she is selling.
Anyway...I could go on, but gonna take a couple more pulls outa my flask and then hit the hay. Been a very long day!
Cheers to all my good friends here! 😊

Cheers all. Having a poppa's cocktail and then a dungenous crab for dinner. Having a bachelor's weekend, whoopee! Working the weekend at the part-time job.
Lifting my glass to all forum members. Cheers.

Thanks Dave, and cheers right back to Ya. Love those crabs...good eating.
Carol is cooking a pork tenderloin for tonight. We are at the mountain cabin, so, right after I eat, I'm gonna pour a Bourbon and kick back in the Spa! Sure helps with the body aches. ☺

Enjoy Mark, how's your mother?

Got off this afternoon, came home mowed the yard, then changed the oil in the Blazer.
Just as I was finishing up it started to rain, lasted all of maybe 10 mins.
Cooled it off a tad, had my shower and enjoying a few B&T's.
Gonna have salad here in a few.

Cheers to you all.

Couple gin and tonics tonight ahead of onions wrapped in bacon and then hollowed out with burger in the middle. They were excellent

Dakota County fair yesterday afternoon and evening.
Saw a Chautauqua show which was excellent.
Chautauqua is a Vaudeville show performed in a tent by amateur actors. It lasted a little over
an hour and there is singing and dancing that depicts the local history. Lots of fun.
Then a nice craft beer, some fresh fries, Ka Bobs, Piaa, and home made ice cream.
Probably didn't spell it right, but Piaa is seasoned rice with shrimp and muscles. Pretty good.
Wanted some good BBQ but the usual outfit is no longer there. Guess they retired.
Got home and a couple of martinis and off to bed.

OK, side note, can teenage girls get those shorts any shorter or tighter? :o
Do their parents know what they're doing or wearing? 👀
OMG! I know, I know, I'm just a dirty old man, but a man my age could have a seizure.
Luckily Carol was there to keep me under control.
Oh but to be sixteen again.😍

Have been enjoying some Larceny bourbon lately. It's not bad at all, and the same price as Buffalo Trace.
Cheers to everyone!

I DO get along with Dewars as well!
It's really the only Scotch I truly like. Maybe Glenmorangi too. Probably spelled that wrong... ;)
