57 with clear skies. No smoke right now but like yesterday the wind will change and it will come back.
Supposed to get to the low 80s today.
Coffee and cookies.
Work on the Journey today. Getting ready for the big trip. First since the Covid broke out.
Got my new trail cam last night. Now to unpack and set it up.

60 and under another heat advisory with a forecast high of 95. Very smoky, full sun out there and not enough light is getting thru the smoke to cast a shadow. We flew home yesterday and when we flew through the smoke layer it was just like flying thru a cloud layer except it didn’t end at the ground level. Very strange indeed.

Even tho our air quality is at 186 which is in the upper end of unhealthy I will have to get out and cut the grass and so some watering. Been gone for several days so both are overdue. Otherwise I will try to stay indoors where the air at least is filtered somewhat by the central filter on the HVAC system.

82° Cloudy with 70% chance of rain today. We've already had a light shower that didn't last long. Cereal, strawberries, and coffee. Not sure what I'm going to do today!

Want to thank everybody that sent prayers and good wishes for my wife. It paid off big-time. The cardiologist said that her 66 yr old heart is in great shape. They only found one small artery that was only 30% blocked. He said that was not going to kill her. They may have go back in 10-20 years!

We got about a inch and a half of rain yesterday. Temps were 65* @ 6:30 this AM and it is sitting @ 84 with a nice Northerly breeze.
Thanks again the good folk on this forum.

On a more serious note, the drought in the Midwest and west is devastating.
It looks like the corn crop is lost and the soy beans aren't looking much better.
Farmers and ranchers are selling their breeding stock due to lack of forage.
Canada has over 500 forest fires raging and only half are anywhere near contained.
Our western states are on fire as well. We live in a world of smoke right now.
I've been on this earth for a long time but this is as bad as I've ever seen.
As you drink your morning coffee, say a prayer for rain please.

Woke up to a warm 70 and we’re looking at the mid 90’s today. Still very smoky but not as bad as yesterday. Air quality is still in the triple digits but way down from the last several days.

The fireball coming up, picture doesn’t capture the intensity of the red. Second pic shows how the smoke is picking up the sun’s rays. Already the blue sky is gone and the red sun is back as more smoke has blown in since I took that pic 20 minutes ago.

Best of luck to everyone today in their health and in whatever endeavors ya get into as the day progresses.

83° and mostly cloudy this morning. I've got my annual Urologist's appointment. Not looking forward to the "digital exam" but as all goes at least it's just once a year. Eggs, bacon, toast, and coffee this morning. I'll need to start drinking water so I can pee in the cup later.
