Rationing 30-30

Post by Centaur » Thu Jul 22, 2021 12:47 pm

Took the H009 out for a walk, and limited myself to 10 rounds since I am out of primers. Offhand shooting is what this rifle is designed for, so kept those few shots to under 100 yards. The gun is up to the challenge, and I was for 80 percent of those few rounds.
I will be glad when components become available again, so I can really spend some more quality time with this rifle.

Ammo cost, and availability, has certainly changed our outings. My 6.5 rifle rounds are, new, about $1.50. I am reloading for less than a buck, but still!

Just put up some max load, almost, I’ll let you know.
Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.

By me components are starting to return slowly - very slowly. Checking serval LGS you can get primers, but only 100 at a time. Powder is still hit or miss with limited selection. I'm seeing more bullets from online vendors, but they are also limited. It will get better it's just going to take more time.
