60 heading to the mid 80’s…..breaking news…… just had about 5 minutes of rain. What a tease!

Still, it’s nice to enjoy the cool weather. I’m sitting on my patio as I type this and man does it feel good out here. Normally I don’t like humidity but at this temp it feels good.

Today we will make a food run and finish packing up the trailer. Leaving tomorrow heading north just about an hour and half away. This afternoon I am running over to Post Falls ID to sell a revolver to a guy, meeting at an FFL over there. While there, I’m meeting another guy who has some 32 H&R brass, bullets and dies he’s selling me for a good price. Fortunate timing for me as he is also in Post Falls.

Well, not yet but now I will. Can I get a family discount? When we do I'll give you a report. :D

Thanks. I don't know about the discount, if you tell him you know me I can't say what he will do. We are still on good terms I just have not made the trip out.

Yep that's the place. The upper deck is open now but it may be too hot.

Woke up early to some kind of bright light followed by a big boom. Fortunately that was the only lightning flash I saw. Sure hope it didn’t strike anything. Had a nice soft rain for 10 -15 minutes, nice but it won’t do anything except clean up the air a bit. 59 now and I believe the forecast is for a high in the mid 80’s.

Heading out today for the Upper Columbia. Leaving shortly to take the boat up and then back for the trailer. Fortunately it’s only a little over an hours drive.

64 and hazy this morning. Smoke from Canada. I thought the border was closed.
Heading for upper 80s today. Got a few things to do including a haircut. Family reunion on Sat
so I need to look civilized.
My cousin and his wife are going down to our old home town to visit cemetery where his folks are.
They will be back by tonight. He wants to stop at a eating place where he remembers their good pie
from years ago. Hope it all works out.
Coffee and Rhubarb Tort for breakfast. Love it!👍
Kurt mentioned he loves Rhubarb so Carol made my favorite and there is some left.😁

Hot this afternoon so i will do my spot spraying this morning... hopeful that this morning and tomorrow will wrap it up...and the rest of the summer I will have more time to devote to being a lazy, loafing, laggard dwelling on the outskirts of Slackerville...
Of course, even then I will start out with my morning coffee... have a great day people.

Sitting in the Kettle Falls National Park Service campground. No utilities here so had to go old school on the coffee this morning. At least it is a percolator and I’m not boiling coffee over a fire. (Not that fires are allowed)

Arrived up here yesterday as shortly after we could see a pretty heavy smoke bank down the lake. A new fire has started probably around 30 - 40 miles south of us. Very windy yesterday so I imagine it’s moved pretty fast. Much calmer this morning which is good news for the fire fighters. After a lazy morning in camp we’re planning to launch the boat and go for a cruise.

It’s 55 right now. I had all the windows and vents open on the trailer overnight as it was so hot in here. This morning my wife wanted me to turn the furnace on. No way as it’s just going to get hot again and this tin box will be an oven later. Probably in the mid 80’s anyway.

Cooled off here...70's today. Smoke is gone for now. Out for breakfast with the Mrs. Tonight we are over at friends house for a birthday. My old cowboy partner from the a7 Ranch when we both worked there years ago. Think he's 66. I made him an antler scarf slide from a shed I found years ago on the a7.

Very sunny today: Right now it’s 77; a high of 100 is expected. Think I’ll stay in the AC today, shuttling grandkids back and forth between activities takes up much of the day. Everybody have a great day!

64 right now and headed to mid 90's again. Ended up with a painting job yesterday as I decided to paint one of the bedrooms that needed painted. Took most of the day and need to finish up today after the bike ride with a little touch up. Made the wife happy as it came out really nice and its good to get one done. We had the rest of the inside of the house painted a couple years ago and just havent got the bedrooms done yet. Im not fond of painting but it wasnt that bad.
