Forty's peepsight.

Post by Vaquero » Wed Jul 14, 2021 7:16 pm

Well I finally replaced the benchgrinder, and made one of Forty's peep sights for the 44 mag BBB.
With a slight elevation adjustment I was wearing the 10" gong out from the deck.
Lol, it's still red as a redneck, I will remove a little more off the top and give it a shot of black paint.

Randy... get a bit of Acetone and the paint will come right off revealing a nice blued finish! Good job and glad it works well for you.

Well after shootin the one on the Marlin, I went back to the drawing board.
Pulled out a drill bit and went with a tad smaller hole.
Will try it later.

What size hole? The hacksaw blades usually have a .156 or 5/32 hole.

The drill bit measures .122.
Might not make much difference, but heck it only takes a couple mins. to whittle one out.
