Sunny today: it’s currently 64; the expected high is 88. Not much doing today, think I’ll work on the gun cart. Everybody have a great day! Today is National Cow Day, a granddaughter told me a cow joke. “What do you call a momma cow who has just given blrth: decalfinated”

Got up before the sun today to a very nice 59. But, as the sun came up it was a bright orange red ball due to smoke in the area. We had a small isolated thunderstorm move through the center part of the state and of course the lightning started a few fires. Including a small one which I believe is pretty close to where John Davis was camping last week. High today is 98.

Golfing today, teeing off at 10:00 (couldn’t get anything earlier) so it’s going to be a warm one. I have several bottles of water (and maybe a beer or two) in the freezer now chilling for today. The course where I playing makes an awesome breakfast sandwich so I plan to leave early and enjoy one on the outdoor deck there.

Had rain late yesterday afternoon so we, in effect, had one day without rain this past month. Don't know about today as they say there's a 30% chance of thunderstorms this afternoon. Currently 79° and sunny. Air quality is a low 69 because of Saharan dust. Cereal, strawberries, and coffee for breakfast. Going to start work on a sax this morning then going to the LGS to check on the primer situation.

Another feels like triple H day today as in humidity and mid 90's. Cut the grass yesterday morning and nothing for outdoors today.

Coffee be excellent at this quiet time. I am planning a slightly shorter work day today.. try and get another ~50 acres spot sprayed but no yard mowing afterward. Saving the third yard( my 88 year old mothers yard) till tomorrow...getting on the down hill on the spraying... unless it rains a bunch next week I shod get finished then . My little 22 I accidently bought on gunbroker should be here Thursday the tracking info says... we will see..... lots of small simple things to be rolling around in my head,( spot spraying, yard mowing, a new toy coming)... so many complex messes the world over I could be pondering,... but most of that is out of my hands .... so at least for this morning as a I sup on my coffee I am thankful my immediate worries are tiny and simple things.... life is such it could all change in a instant..... so while the opportunity permits...I am thankful for a quiet peaceful cup of coffee with only simple things to roll around in my weak brain pan. I think I will go get a second cup to celebrate 🍾
Hope the rest of you have the day you want to have today as well.👍

59 and either overcast or it’s so smoky at an upper level that the sun is not penetrating. So far it’s making for a nice cool morning since the smoke is not low enough to smell. But…… if it clears up the forecast high is 99. YUK!

We had new carpet made for out boat and today we have to haul it to the shop to have the snaps in the carpet installed. They need the boat to determine where to place the snaps. Otherwise it’s putz around home and avoid the worst of the heat.

60s and overcast. Rain moving in from the Dakotas. We need the rain badly.
Folgers and Rice Crispies with a banana. Variety is the spice of life. Well, not in females anymore.
Not raining yet but I'm not sure what I'll do today yet. Maybe work in the shop.
Tomorrow I'll go back to war with the grape vines.

A brief cool down. :D

60 when I woke up with a forecast high of “only” 93. Better than yesterday’s 100.

But wait, there’s more. Tomorrow is only supposed to get to the mid 80’s. Break out the parka grandma…..

But it is short lived with temps back to the mid to upper 90’s by Sunday.

Somehow I got talked into driving my wife out to the Spokane Valley to the Macy’s there. This is the last one in Spokane as the other two have been permanently closed. Thankfully there is a Sportsman’s Warehouse nearby where I can do some browsing myself.

84° this morning. High is supposed to be around 91° or so. Had early morning (before dawn) thundershowers this morning and and and 80% this afternoon. I know there's parts of the country in severe drought and heat, but man, I wish this rain would just stop. Eggs, bacon, toast and coffee this morning.
