ended up with something over 2" of rain yesterday .... today is off to a beautiful 59 degree start on its way to 82 degrees later today .... no chance higher than a 25% chance of rain in the current 10 day forecast .... family gathering late this afternoon for one of Maureen's sisters-in-law

Morning, rained a little last night, 72 now and only 79 for a high. Believe I'll send some lead down range here shortly.

57 heading to another day of mid 90’s. Other than two days in the upper 80’s the ten day forecast shows all 90’s and a ZERO percent chance of rain. It’s down right scary around here for wildfires. So far we have had many small fires which are quickly contained but there are 3-4 larger fires that are requiring sustained efforts to contain. Yesterday we woke up to vey smoky skies but the wind shifted around mid-day and the air improved considerably.
Today is mowing day otherwise I’ll be doing some early preps for out little trip to the Upper Columbia reservoir leaving next week.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
We stopped at a small town restaurant for breakfast. Usually the place is crowded and has a line waiting,
but today they weren't that busy, (folks gone on vacation), so we got right in.
Country fried steak smothered in sausage gravy, eggs over easy, crispy has brown potatoes, toast and coffee.
Their country fried steak is the best I know of, and that's why they're usually too busy for us to wait. We
choose to go elsewhere rather than stand in line.

Sunny and 79 currently, expected high is 86. Went to mass last night so I slept in a little bit. Had our weekly Sype with family in Denmark, felt good so I made a big breakfast of hash browns, bacon eggs and toast. I feel good still, I think I’ll make it a pistol day at the range: Colt 1911, Colt .22 revolver, and maybe the Colt .44-40. Everybody have a great day!

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Hot and humid around here for next week. Right now 88F but feels like 97F with the 60% humidity! Not much gets done outside in this stuff!
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Not better in my neck-of-the-woods either. Went out to my work shed to make a new target stand. Cut 5 pieces of angle iron and was dripping wet. That ended todays project. I'll save the welding for a cooler day.fortyshooter wrote: ↑Sun Jul 11, 2021 5:01 pmHot and humid around here for next week. Right now 88F but feels like 97F with the 60% humidity! Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
A very nice 51 to begin the day and a very awful 97 to “end” it. I’d say “enough already” but the 10 day forecast tells me that I’m just kidding myself.
Just some light “putzing” around to place today.
My sympathies for you who are suffering the high humidities along with the high temps. Fortunately for this area we have low humidity, yesterday was 16% on my thermometer but the weather guy on TV said the official measurement was 11%.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Can't believe it's the second day (so far) without rain! Maybe things will dry out a bit. Eggs, bacon, toast, and coffee for breakfast. Made a trip to the bank this morning. Now doing a little bit of maintenance on the shop and will get to work shortly.

61, smoky skies, light winds. Supposed to hit the mid 80s today with T-Storms starting tonight.
Sausage and egg biscuit.
Yard work today.
I have another cousin near death's door. He's in his 70s and in the hospital on life support.
Covid 19. Not looking good.
Just buried another one last week too.
