Hot day on the Frontier...

Post by RanchRoper » Sun Jun 27, 2021 2:49 pm

Shooting my Frontier .50 cal. Temperature hit 85 when I left, and as usual I forgot to take water with me so that was enough.

50 grains Triple 7 powder, .015 patch, .490 lead ball

50 yds off hand

This one was about 80 yds off hand, it was too dang hot in the 100 yd shooting shed so I walked out a ways. Not bad for primitive sights, but zero wind today as well.

Summer is here!....get out and shoot...it's a long winter.

Always a pleasure to see the good targets you post RR. I'll bet you'll remember the water on the next trip.

When you hot you hot. Nice shooting. Going tomorrow with the 22 guns and might take the Henry SS in 357 to ring some steel.

We are in the 90's this week so maybe not shooting until it cools off a little. I'll shoot at -20 and not complain but I do have my limits....
