I got a sore shoulder for fathers day, and I like it.

Post by beaverislander » Sun Jun 20, 2021 1:29 pm

My wife said the day was mine and asked what I wanted to do for fathers day so like many of you I grabbed a Henry and hit the door. I hadn't tried out the 10" gong yet so that was what little excuse I needed. I set the gong up at 50 yards and put 39 rounds down range, that was enough for me :)

I can't think of a better way to get a sore shoulder. Enjoy the day.

Yep once you start cranking out the rounds in a .357 Henry it is hard to stop! Glad you had a great time hammering that gong too!
I thought it might have been a .45-70! :D

Nah, I'm just a lightweight..... I picked up used physical therapy traction table last week to give you an idea what shape my joints are in and I recently sold a 12ga. FN-SLP because it shook things up way too much... I can't even imagine what a 45-70 would do.

Okay....I understand now. With light Unique loading 405 gr. kicks much less than a 12 ga. But you did enjoy thumping the gong with the .357 Henry!

Oh ya, I sure did. I knew I was pushing it but I was having to much fun so it was worth it. Now I'm back to the .22 for awhile :)
