Backyard Red Ryder Range

I've been shopping at the local junk stores and bought a bunch of metal serving trays. I've only got about $10 into this range. The first picture shows the main targets. The coffee pot is only 6 yards from the firing line while the objects on the fence line run from 14 to 18 yards. The neighbors house is about 25 yards the other side of the fence so I do need to be careful.

The windmill is the longest target at 37 yards.

I am getting fairly accurate with the Red Ryder and can hit every target almost every time. Hitting one 50 times in a row is about average. I usually give up before I miss. What is nice about this range is everything is set out and I don't have to drive to it. I might be mowing the lawn, watering the plants or just loafing around and I can take a ten minute break to plink away. Speaking of plinking I have the metal trays hung on nails and they make a great sound. Each tray makes a different sound.

Yes a little different. Wish I could do it with rimfire but its not safe. We can legally shoot in the county and I hear gunfire a few times a week. One neighbor in particular shoots in his backyard but he has a safe place the way the houses are situated. In the county you can only have one house per acre so we aren't packed in like the city folks are. Still its not rural like 400 yards away. There it is only zoned for one house per five acres. But a lot of the land is undeveloped so if you put me in the center of a square mile there would only be about 100 homes not 640 which is how many acres are in a square mile.

I was surprised to see the BB's would dent the trays. Some of them are quite thick. I want to add a few hubcaps to the fence line too.
