New member from Washington state
I just joined your forum, very happy to have found it. I just got into Henry rifles last year and I'm hooked, ended up 2020 with 6 new rifles. I'm 76 years old now and my goal was to obtain rifles in .22 caliber to pass down to my son and 4 grandsons. I exceeded that a bit, as all 6 rifles are either .22LR, .22mag, or .17HMR. I have been going to indoor ranges, which limits most of the centerfire rifles that can be used. But now that I have found a decent outdoor site, I'm looking to get either a Henry 30-30 or .357 Magnum/.38 Spl.

Hey Wayne. Congrats on that starter collection! Lol. The kids will love em. I vote for any of the 357 models. Of course, I’m biased.
Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.

I live in Normandy Park, which is just south of Seattle, and borders on Puget Sound.
Re: New member from Washington state
Wayne I lived there as a child so I know right were you are. I lived on Marine View Dr. at the corner of Shoremont Ave. Puget Sounds was a place I spent a lot of time at as a kid.

Amazing! I live on Brittany Dr SW, one block west and about 10 houses away. I’m right next to Brittany Park and have a great view of the Sound and Vashon Island.BigAl52 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 16, 2021 8:16 pmWayne I lived there as a child so I know right were you are. That ole concrete fountain has been around a while. That park didnt get much care when I was a kid. I had a buddie who lived on Brittany Dr but it was south of Shoremont Ave. The house I lived in as a child is about twice as big as it was when I lived there. I use to love to go for a ride down by the pool and up the hill. Take a left and head towards Three Tree Point. Then crawl the hill into Burien. Doesnt look the same now. I was in Washington in April seeing my sister she lives in Covington. Went to high school in Des Moines and when I get back there I like to go to Wallys and Ive been to Saltys

Sounds good Wayne I will see if we can make that happen. Not sure when the next trip is planned that way but I never know.

Re: New member from Washington state
Welcome Wayne! Glad to have you here. I'll try and talk you into a ,357/38 spl Henry, just because they are sooo much fun to shoot. Welcome!
Re: New member from Washington state
Welcome from the east side of Washington. Congratulations of your new Henry’s, that’s a nice collection and a wonderful gesture on your part to hand them down. For your next rifle the 357 will be much cheaper (or was in the good old days anyway) to shoot than a 30-30. At 100 yards the 30-30 will be more accurate but at 50 yards 357 is more fun than girls. I have a 357 and it’s a very sweet shooting rifle.
Either way, you can’t go wrong!
