Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
It was 81° this morning at 6 a.m. with 87% humidity. Supposed to get up to 97° with a "real feel" of 109°. Got out and cut grass this morning before it got really hot. Dripped with sweat when walking into the house. Coffee, cereal, and cinnamon roll for breakfast. I'll take a trip to the LGS after showering to get a gun bore sited.

68 already and headed to the hot zone 97 here today. Today we are headed to get our Fifth Wheel. We decided to get a little bigger one than we had. So we sold our last one and have been waiting for this one to come in. Its now been at the RV dealer a week and ready for us. More later and I will also try to get some decent pics.

Coffee and Pop Tart.
Should start painting the deck today. I don't like painting very much but it's needed.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Another beautiful day progressing. I'm sitting at docs office for an appointment for their second attempt to get a giant chunk of wax out. Hopefully they will succeed this time and it won't hurt as much as last weeks attempts. Hopefully it will go smoothly and I will be able to maintain a manly manner, and, well, you know, not squeal like a girl.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Back home in good ole’ Deer Park WA. Currently it’s 58 and only heading to 68. Had some pretty spectacular thunderstorms overnight that brought some much needed rain. It’s a really nice morning here with the windows opened and all the fresh air flowing thru. Even tho I’m pretty beat from my 8 hour drive towing a trailer home yesterday I’m leaving here shortly to go play golf. My buddy contacted me while we were gone and playing today seemed like a better idea then than it does now. Fortunately the course we’re playing today is extra long with big distances between the green and the next tee. Probably about an extra mile walking than a normal course. I’m tired just thinking about it.
Still, it’s good to be home.

92° right now. Headed towards' 97°. Don't know what the "real feel" is but ERCOT has sent phone messages the last two days that the power grid is being stressed and to "conserve" electricity. ERCOT, if you live in Texas, is the bull@$^$ agency that helped cause the situation last February. The Tx legislature did nothing, nothing, nothing to rein them in. Anyway, had a bowl of cottage cheese and cantaloupe for breakfast along with my coffee this morning.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Now started the last half of June. How time flies.... driving down the road it appears haymaking is suddenly and at last in overdrive...seeing round bales appear everywhere in just a few days you might think it's easy, however, I found it th o be a big job when I was putting up my own.....( now it still seems a big job hauling in what I buy from my neighbor. When you are young , you can manage to turn out more work.... or that's how it seems to me. There were years when I cut, raked, and baled (by myself) over 600 round bales... while I had a full time off farm job.... now hauling and stacking 200 from my neighbor ( when I am retired and don't have other work to keep up with) seems like a big enough job.... hummmm..... ah, who cares... the coffee is still good in the morning at least.....

67 very comfortable but windy degrees this morning in Estelline, SD .... supposed to get up to 98 uncomfortable degrees later today .... if so, it'll be hotter here than it will be back home in NC .... having some relatives over for breakfast, they hope the wind will settle a bit and they can go fishing ...

64, sunshine, light wind, going for a high of 90 today.
Got to start painting the deck today. I am not a big fan of painting, but its got to be done.
Family reunion here in the second part of July and I need to get working.
Have a good day all.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
73° rain cooled air this morning. 81% humidity and headed towards 97° this afternoon. That combination makes for a very hot and muggy day. I've had my coffee and getting ready to make breakfast. I'll scramble some eggs and fry some bacon.

47 heading to 73 under sunny skies. A big warm up starts tomorrow with highs in the low 90’s next week. Ugh.
Mowing on the schedule for today, both the lawn and hopefully if it’s not too dusty my non irrigated tree areas too. Got nearly a half inch of rain night before last so hopefully some of that moisture is still in the ground. Should have mowed yesterday but a prior golf commitment prevented that. Played with an old work buddy that I haven’t seen in a couple of years so that was fun.

Im with ya Coop me and a paint brush just dont play well together. As I mentioned we picked up our new RV Monday. We stayed the night in Sidney,Ne. I had a few issues with my new hitch but it just seemed to be tight due to being new as it works well now. We also found a couple of issues with the new trailer. One was a placement of a vacuum and not being able to change the bag without total inconvenience. That item was fixed by a modification to a front bulk head suggested by the dealer. We took it back yesterday and they did that along with fixing the sliding door for the bathroom. Im glad we stayed and checked out all systems. Our dealer Maddox Motors in Sidney as far as I am concerned is the best. There customer service is second to no one. It was hot there yesterday as its going to be here today at 99 deg.

Enjoy the new RV Al. We've been RVing for 25 years together and love it. Of course our RV is getting pretty old, but then so am I.BigAl52 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 16, 2021 11:52 amAs I mentioned we picked up our new RV Monday. We stayed the night in Sidney,Ne. Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
we awoke to a warm, windy morning in Estelline ... Rodeo preparations are in high gear .... as this is being typed our youngest son and his wife are on the second leg of their out here .... they are due in at Sioux Falls in about an hour .... we have a morning trip to Brookings for meds and groceries at Walmart; along with, some hose fittings from Lowe's ...
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
44 heading to 81 under sunny skies. Looking forward we see nothing but high temps and dry conditions. The rain that fell last week while I was away has dried up and it’s getting very dry again. Did my mowing of the non-irrigated areas yesterday and by the time I was finished I was sitting in a cloud of dust. It’s fire preparation week here in this area and the outlook for wildfires is grim.
Meanwhile I’m enjoying a nice cup of coffee and trying to decide what to work on today. The list is long and that’s a good thing. Idle hands and all that!
