Re: Officially Old
Same here! Have to say it....MUCH better times back then!
Re: Officially Old
Not sure about #21 but used or knew what the rest are. I must be really old, I remember when #50 was $.35 a gallon and there was no such thing as unleaded. Used to stop for gas when " Cruising the Ave." on Friday/Saturday nights and you could get 3 gallons for a buck. I guess that's not a thing anymore, used to be kids in their cars BS'ing in just about every main drag parking lot.

Know them all very well, except #28 was a guess (soap?) and I am stuck on #48.

Re: Officially Old
Same here. They left out a crosscut saw, and coal scuttle, keeping butter & milk in a spring.

Re: Officially Old
I'm not sure what this means. I still percolate my coffee, given enough time, I use a similar meat hammer for many cuts of meat, I still use my crock pot, I wear Old Spice at camp, I use a Rada vegetable peeler all the time, I prefer putting mercurochrome on small cuts to alcohol, I still mash potatoes with a masher older than the one pictured, I sift flour for certain recipes, the shoe stores I go to still use those devices, I eat nut meats with a set just like the one pictured and I could still go to one of two drive ins within two hours of me.
I think it means I am stuck in a time warp.
I kind of like being stuck here. I don't mind the modern conveniences either.

Re: Officially Old
that's not a bad time warp to be stuck in

Re: Officially Old
I’m probably the youngest to add my two bits here (that’s a sign of my old knowledge). The only thing I hadn’t seen was the chalk holder and the blue light. We didn’t have K-Mart in my town growing up, but my step dad wore Old Spice every day.

Re: Officially Old
I know them all, #20 had transmission selector like that in my 1963 Dodge with a torque flight transmission. I remember pumping gas at a SERVICE STATION for a quarter a gallon ....and sooo much more

Re: Officially Old
How about milk delivery. Glass bottles, put in that semi insulated aluminum box on the front porch.
And yes, I remember all of that.

Re: Officially Old
I remember most of these things. The ones I don't remember was probably from years I only cared about guns, fishing and cars. The rest I cared little or none at all for. I did have quite a few Mopar cars with the push button Torque Flite transmission. I believe they were made from '56 to the end of '64. Hard to imagine how hard I beat on those old Torque Flites with very little problems with street racing and drag strips on week ends. I still have a green table in my gun room like the gray one pictured. I believe Mom's was maybe yellow. I have had a lot of folks offer to buy mine but it is still here as I turned them down.
