38 and the clouds are breaking up. We got our inch of rain that was forecast yesterday.
I'm about to go make a cup of Folgers and grab some chocolate chip cookies.
There is yard work to do but it's too wet so I'll probably work in my shop this morning.
Supposed to warm up into the 60s today and then warmer over the weekend.
On Saturday I will rub some racks of ribs with my secret spice mix and then smoke them.
We will then rewrap them and put them in the fridge for Memorial Day.
After church on Sunday we will journey 90 miles to decorate my families graves for Memorial Day,
then on Memorial Day I will travel with the VFW Honor Squad and we will do ceremonies
for 13 rural cemeteries, while Carol will entertain the family with a day of swimming and
eating good food including those ribs and her wonderful potato salad.
I should be home by two or three to join in. :D

44 heading to the upper 60’s and partly cloudy. Yesterday’s promise of rain didn’t happen so the sprinkles are doing the job. Hot temps are forecasted for the holiday weekend and even hotter temps for next week. Still feeling pretty punky from this head cold I picked up somewhere. Unfortunately I have several projects I need to do today so I’m going to have to suck it up and get-er-done. :D

I most sincerely hate a head cold! Especially in warm weather. It just seems to make it worse.

Get some whiskey Hatch. 54 here this day and headed to 81. Not much on tap today might do some airgun shooting in the back yard.

1.24" now, a bit more on the way. It's needed, my yard had brown spots forming.
The upside, my zero turn got some rest.

I can't belive how cool and wet it is.... but this is sooo much better than a blistering drought... I would rather endure mud than dust..... so coffee up and go forth! A good day ahead until I run into something that changes my mind...

Morning, yep a little cooler here also, 54 now and only going to 63, with a predicted 45 for a low tonight.
Not sure what's on tap for the day. Need to mow, but probably to wet.

Clear and cold. 45 with no wind.
Folgers and Keebler Chocolate Chip Cookies.
It's supposed to rain tomorrow so we will journey down to decorate graves today instead.
We always plan to stop along the way for lunch and then to visit relatives on the way home.
Memorial Day still looks good. :D

75° and headed towards upper 80's. Had a helluva storm move through last night about bed time. Electric went out and straight line winds were terrible. I lost my privacy fence on the west side of the house when two 4X4 post broke right at the ground line. I put that in when Ike came through and that was back in 2008. I'm going to prop up what was blown down for a temp fix and get someone to install a new one. I'm getting to the age I'd rather pay someone than do it myself. Eggs, bacon, toast and coffee for breakfast.

^^^^^^

Sorry to hear about your fence Jake. I think wind is the worst weather there is, worse than snow, rain and cold. :(

Speaking of wind, today is our first day in several that there is no high winds forecast. We hit a high of 54 mph two days ago and I’m happy to see them go away. No damage fortunately unlike poor Jake.

Low of 38 but we’re looking at hitting the 70’s with beautiful blue skies. Great weather for the holiday weekend for all those going camping/boating. Since we retired we just stay home on these type of weekends but there was a time when we were out there in the thick of it.

Wife took daughter and a couple of granddaughters to the city to their fingernails and toenails all dolled up, so a relaxing for me. I may just watch a ball game and take a nap in the recliner. Cloudy and rain, right now 50 and expected high of 57. Everybody have a great day!

59 here, cooled down. Cloudy, fog, lite breeze. May crack the low 60s today.

55 here and cloudy and they say low 70's. Im not thinking that will come about. Not much on tap today might see if the neighbor wants to go shoot the 22's.

Sunny and warm today. Even warm after the sun went down. Of course a good fire helps.

Morning looks like a nicer day on tap here, see the sun which we didn't yesterday.
It's 50° now and suppose to make low 70's.
