Was the flex seal the only choice for repair Jim.

no .... BUT it was the only viable alternative .... the other would require cutting and reinstalling not just the 3" pipe but possibly a holding tank as well .... when I say its a tiny leak, it really is .... hopefully what we've done will work

the curtain replacement is going well .... the cornice sits on two brackets that are mounted to the wall .... they weren't designed or built to be easily removed .... the best way I've found to get to the brackets is to cut the OEM day/night shades right below the cornice .... you can then get a #2 square head screwdriver to the screws .... when I started this project I wanted to use 3/4" wood dowels on the spans that are 36 or fewer inches wide .... for the longer spans we went with 3/4" PVC pipe which is much cheaper than wood .... one such application is shown below .... the center rod holder provides plenty of support and keeps the pipe surprisingly rigid ....

Self Adhesive Curtain Rod Bracket Holder ===> https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08VJ ... UTF8&psc=1 .... as can be seen in the pictures above, I do drill the base of the bracket, peel the cover off of the adhesive base and stick the bracket in place .... then use screws to make sure it stays there

Staying there is important in a portable house especially after travels on our smooth roads.
