Revolver day

Post by Oldbrass » Sat May 15, 2021 3:22 pm

Shooting steel .Ruger GP100 6" stainless and 1968 S&W model 10 38 special. The model 10 with 158 SWC is a real joy to shoot and ridiculously accurate..The Ruger, meh it's boring

You see less and less revolvers at the ranges now days. GP-100 was the first revolver I ever bought, still have it.

53 year old model 10 and still going strong.

I like both of my revolvers. The 1926 Colt 32 is a joy to shoot. Still learning the 357 Ruger. Thanks for the update.

Revolvers may be old school and folks today don't pay much attention to them. They are still fun to shoot and most are far more accurate than the autoloaders of today. Enjoy!!!

until I purchased a Bond derringer about a month ago, the only handgun I have is a Ruger Redhawk .... somehow a double action revolver has been the only one that has really fit my hand

I have a Ruger Vaquero. When I shoot it, I'm back in 1885, lol. Like everything about it.

I sold all but one carry semi automatic. I carry a revolver now all the time. I like revolvers better. Good you were able to get out. Like shooting my revolvers.

As a reloader I much prefer shooting revolvers, no chasing brass. Okay, even if I didn’t reload I still prefer revolvers.

Curious, why do you find the GP100 boring?

It's a good shooter just not as fun as the old model 10

Took my S&W Beckert 22 out this morning. Had not shot it in a long time. For a pistol that is approaching 100 years old, it shoots really well. It is the only revolver in my stable now, although I have owned lots of them over the years.

Gotta love a Redhawk. Eats about anything you can fit in the cylinder.

ain't that the truth .... she appears to have put on weight over the years or possibly I'm not as strong as I was in days long gone by .. :? .. its action is smooth, its still much more accurate than I am ... ;)
