Morning was 45 when I goy up, 61 now and headed for 72.
Got rain moving in this afternoon.

61 under a clear sky on its way to 71 with no mention of rain .... its been a busy morning, unexpected taxi duty to get a grandchild to school .... standard breakfast ..... watching "The War Lover" filmed in 1962 staring Steve McQueen and Robert Wagner .... nothing serious on tap

46 this morning with clear skies and light wind. going for a high in the low 60s.
Folgers and cookies.
Got a little rain last night, but not enough. It should be just enough to activate
the fertilizer and weed killer I put down yesterday though.
Work in the shop today getting lawn mowers ready for the season.
Talked to my cousin in St. Louis last night and he's already mowed his lawn
several times. I will mow Saturday for the first time. Carol has the whole crowd
coming for Mother's Day. Annual tradition. Lots of good food.

We have to cut grass all year down here. Only have to do it every two weeks in the winter though. Eggs, sausage, English muffin and coffee for breakfast.

Cool this morning but a nice day ahead..got caught up on mowing and tree cutting so this morning taking ny87 year old mother to a church yard sale she wants to go to then grocery shopping.....reminds me.. mother's day is sunday.... don't forget!!!

Low 40s, clear skies, light winds. Should hit near 60 today.
Folgers and Granola.
Yard work today, also getting the walk behind mower ready to mow.
Needs sharpening. I already did the zero radius turn mower.
Our little friend came back after being gone for a few days. I decided to see
how close he would let met get for a picture and here it is. Just as I snapped
this he flew away. His, or her, body is only 10 inches tall and will grow to a good 2 feet tall,
but their wings must grow to full size first because when it took off the wing spread is over
three feet. Amazing!

Very sunny today, over night low was 28, currently 41 and a high of 61. Had to go to town and buy a new lawnmower, bought a Troy Bilt, did the oil and gas thing so today I’ll put it to use.

About 60° this morning. Weather forecast is for much warmer mornings. It was nice while it lasted. Cereal, English muffin, and coffee.

its been a dark and stormy night .... about daybreak we heard the longest continuous roll of thunder that we've heard since we can't remember when .... our yard was completely dry when I went to bed about midnight .... the pictures were taken little while ago .... we hope to work on the camper today, not much else on tap .... watching "Black Horse Canyon" filmed in 1954 staring Joel McCrea

34 now with a day that will struggle to hit 60 ahead. At 9:00 am this morning we are having a community meeting which will be outdoors due to Covid concerns and it’s going to be a bit chilly. No rain thankfully.

Returned home yesterday from out trip to central Washington State, we had wonderful weather for our sightseeing. I’ll write more in the Travel section.

My lawn is a jungle so it will be my focus for the day.

Seafood truck comes in today and will be selling out of a parking lot in town.
They bring it fresh from Galveston and we will be there to get fresh shrimp and
oysters. Last oysters of the Spring.
Then I have to mow and get the place ready. Carol is having a family brunch
tomorrow with all the family and some neighbors. Should be fun.

Mid 30's with snow in the forecast. Our son and his fiancé are on their way from Edmonton for a visit, head back tomorrow. We still have lockdown stuff going on but I see more and more people just getting on with their lives. Off to the range tomorrow. It's considered essential because fish & wildlife, and the RCMP use it so it stays open no matter what....

Today: Drizzle conditions with 17 mph winds out of the east. Low was 36 with a high of 46; currently 43. Busy day, grandkids soccer game this morning, made a mocha/chocolate Bundt cake for Mother’s Day, 2 loads of laundry and doctored Phil the dog. Everybody have a great day!

Usually on Mother's Day the Church Camp across the lake had a Buffet and we all go along with the neighbors.
Well because of the Covid that's not happening so Carol has invited them all here for brunch. She's upstairs
happily cooking her heart out.
