Our Morning Coffee and Weather

BRM, you sure know what the important things are in life. All my Grandkids are either grown or far away. My great grandkids are in Alaska. Cute little buggers though.
42, clear skies, light winds.
Black Silk and toast with jelly.
Got the pump room all painted and now on to the three season porch and hot tub room.
Should have that done this week and then on to yard work.
This place keeps me working and that keeps me young and fit.

Had clouds come in overnight so the low was a balmy but dark 44. Looks to be heading to 60 with scattered thunderstorms this afternoon. Continuing with my outdoor cleanup making piles to burn with the forecasted weekend rain.

58³ this morning. Now 64° headed towards mid 70's or so. Scrambled eggs, bacon, coffee, and cinnamon roll for breakfast. Doing laundry this morning. Might get a bit of work done today.....haven't decided yet.

Going to finish off the last of the 12 cup pot of Black Silk. Saw the wife off on her way to Nacogdoches to see the two G-kids play in their championship games. They play for a small district west of Naco. The g-daughter is going to try to best her record of 10'7". She is only 4'10" tall. The g-son is playing in the baseball game. The games are naturally in two towns! They will watch G-daughter first, then hustle 30miles for the baseball game. I will stay here and watch my eldest G-daughter (she has autism). She was able to get a job at one of the many horse ranches around here. She is helping muck out stalls and feeding horses. Taking horses out to pasture, ect. She loves it! I'm going to change oil in the JD and Honda lawnmowers. I have got about 4 more big loads of blankets and sheets we covered the young vegetation with on our 1 cold night. Thank God we are getting warmer night time temps for the next ten days.

Cold morning for late April for Central Va. at 32 degrees! Nice and sunny though.

A nice 41 with a broken sky heading to 60 with sun early and clouds later. Rain coming in overnight which is great as we are in a drought. We are nearly an inch of rain below average just for April and the rest of 2021 has been very dry. Extended forecast is for more drought conditions. Could be a nasty year for wildfires.

Speaking of fires, with the weekend rain coming in I will be taking advantage of it and doing more outdoor burning. I had everything cleaned up and gone and then good ol’e Mrs. hatchdog started pointing and pointing and pointing and saying, get your saw you lazy bum. So anyway, more to do.

She has a Dr appointment this morning so I’m dropping her off and heading down the street to a store which has been rumored to have some powder in stock. Then we’re heading up to a farm/orchard community called Greenbluff where I’m looking for some local red wine and/or honey. I have a guy who has some Hornady Critical Defense 38 special 95 grain LITE ammo and I’m looking to trade him for it. He suggested a bottle of wine and if we do this it will be the most interesting firearms related trade I have ever made.

after dropping to 33 last night its already back up to 49 on its way to 66 later today with no rain .... heavy thunderstorms due to roll through tomorrow .... a few routine chores and not much else on tap for today .... regular breakfast, gone .... Dropped mu Explorer off for some recall work early this morning. Well, early for me these days. 8:30.
Carol picked me up and I wanted to stop for breakfast but no, she had to get home, so Black Silk and cereal.

62° this morning. Supposed to get severe thunderstorms later today. Doesn't sound good. I'm getting ready to take a trip to the LGS to see if they have any primers. I checked Tuesday without any luck. Cereal, toast, and coffee this morning.

50 and rainy today. Planning to start welding the bases for my raised bed planters for my cheap greenhouse I bought. With cedar beds and the steel bases I am going to clamp the frame to I hope to be able to keep the greenhouse in the yard instead of it blowing into the next county.

Muggy 68° this morning. Never got the severe weather and rain that was in the forecast. We got a little damp yesterday but not much. The worst part of the storm was well north of us. Bacon, eggs, toast, and coffee for breakfast. Taking the general (youngest son, former military) out to the range today. He'll have to be on his own for ammo.

43 heading to 53 with rain in the forecast. The rain was supposed to arrive about now but I see on the weather map it’s not due to arrive until around mid-day. Sure glad I put my pop-up cover up yesterday and got all my burning tools staged under it to stay dry. Oh well, I guess I can stack the firewood I split the other day and start splitting another stack while I wait for rain to start burning.

For now I’m enjoying some Black Silk of which a thermos full will accompany me to the burn area. The Eastern Washington State Eagles play a football playoff game today so I can listen to that on the radio while burning. (Yeah I know, football playoffs in April) GO EAGS!
