Figures, just when I was appreciating your picture from the range and you weren’t standing in snow.RanchRoper wrote: ↑Sun Apr 18, 2021 9:01 am34F right now, with a foot of snow on the way today. Tea in the Henry mug.
Sorry Roper but it’s currently 34 and heading up to 70 with sunny skies. Enjoyed my first gin and tonic of the season on the patio last night, that was nice. Cold front coming in tonight and maybe some much needed rain.
Just more outdoor projects on tap today with the first lawn mowing of the season later today.

Morning 43 when I got up, up to 57 at the moment. Predicted high is 63, but at the rate it's going I believe it will be warmer. Thinking about shootin some oldies today, a 1913 Winchester 92 in 25-20, and a Marlin 92 in 32 colt from 1899.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
It's been a busy day. First church and then breakfast at an old small town restaurant that
serves a most excellent breakfast. The building is so old it still has the old stamped tin ceilings.
Farm fresh eggs, hash browns and the best sausage links I have ever had. Coffee of courses.
Then a noon meeting of out Legion Posts Holding Corp. Very interesting. The fat is in the fire.
Any way we look at it the Post is going to come out really well.
Finally got home and watching Nascar and can smell one of my favorite meals in the oven.
Pork country ribs over rinsed Saur Kraut. The meat juices flavor the kraut along with a little
brown sugar and at the end some BBQ sauce.

48 going to 60. Partly sunny predicted. I feel like Vaquero's Sunday post today.
I'm having coffee in the Smith and Wesson mug.
Day off to work on the new place. Lawn may need mowing at both.
Enjoy your day.

34 out right now headed to 37. Then its a blast of January. 16 tonight with 3 to 6 inches of snow. Got up early to go do blood test. Went to the regular office tried to check in and the lady tells me they are closed today short of help. Had to run to another place clear across town.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
36 heading to 64 with blue skies and wind. We had a cold front come in last night that brought some pretty good winds. No problems here at my place but to the south of me there are many power outages. One small fire is all I have seen reported. Finished an outdoor project yesterday of removing some big Hawthorne bushes and cleaning up the ground where they grew. Got the stumps cut off at ground level now I have to rent a stump grinder and so them and several others I have around. Maybe now I can get to splitting that firewood that I “was” going to do last week.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Got some really good news this morning. A friend who builds pools came out and tested
our return line for leaks. I thought we had a major leak, but I was wrong. (OK, don't tell
Carol I said that). I had barely finished my coffee and granola when they got here.
I was worried that we had to break up a lot of concrete but am grateful we don't have to.
Happy, happy, happy!

Looks like a full sun day, was 45° when I got up a little while ago, says 73° is going to be the high.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
I’m sure seeing lots of April “winter” in other areas of the nation and Canada. Could we get some “global warming” out there?
For me I’m looking at another nice day after a cool start. 30 now heading into the 60’s with sunny skies. The winds have finally calmed down and maybe, maybe we may get some rain this coming weekend.
Just about out of Black Silk Folgers so we are making a run to town today for groceries and a Costco stop. Sure wish Costco sold the Black Silk in the mega cans like they do the Folgers Classic.

Slept in this morning. 34 and cloudy. I need the wind to go down as I still have some leaves to get rid of.
Black Silk and Honey Bunches of Oates.
Work in the pump room today cleaning it up and painting.
I want to hold a family reunion here in July and the place needs sprucing up.

46 on its way to 75 in central NC .... no chance of rain .... regular breakfast .... watching the 2004 remake of "King Solomon's Mines" staring Patrick Swayze .... I'm not a big fan of his but have to say this is the best version I've seen .... not much on tap today .... biggest event, our 5 year old grandson's first T-ball game

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
It all tested out good. No further leaks so I'm cleaning and painting the pump room.
The guy made a plastic device that screwed into our skimmer with an air chuck on it.
Then he pumped up to 20psi and it held. Hooray, no more concrete to be cut out and repaired.
