Ruger MKII Fun

Post by Shakey Jake » Fri Apr 16, 2021 5:51 pm

I took the Ruger out to the range today and had a lot of fun. I was shooting at 15 yards and did really well. No target to show because I drifted down to shoot the steel targets. Anyway had a fun time. I'll get it cleaned up and may do it again next Friday.

Good for you Jake. Glad you had a fun day with the steel. It's always a good time when you can watch that steel jump.

MKII is in my opinion the best in the Ruger Mark series. My wife has a MKII slab side and I have a MKIII Hunter. I never thought it would happen but my MKIII is a little more accurate than her II and hers is a good shooting II. My Browning BuckMark is now where near as nice as either Ruger and is not accurate. I am disappointed in the Browning and it will have a short stay here. It is a higher end model. I guess that is Brownings opinion not mine.

Good for you, Jake.

For sure the II was also my favorite.

I have a Ruger 2245 that made the cut and I’ll be keeping it. They are fun shooters.

I have a IV on layaway to be picked up next month. I’m really looking forward to shooting it after reading all the great reviews here on HRF about all the Marks.

Thanks for the report Jake, you have wet my whistle again. :D
