I've been carrying IWB for 15+yrs. the secret is a GOOD holster. I have tried a few different brands my first was a Fist #2 can be carried iwb or owb all leather well made and very comfortable I have one for my 1911's and my SR40. I also have some Allain Gear holsters, 1 full size & 1 compact. the nice thing about these that you can buy shells for different pistols and use the same base/backing & Allain gear has a lifetime warranty something breaks send them an email they send you a replacement. Yes you might have to buy a longer belt but I carry wearing shorts and a shirt if you tuck your shirt, it fits between the holster & pants waist and is nearly undetectable ;) ;)

P.S.
All my holsters are American made
And very cumbersome to access.

OK...let me ask a basic question...why carry IWB?

For ME, in my experience.... Your Mileage May Vary...

Actually, I have found that due to the design of the IWB holster, it tends to pull the gun a bit tighter against the body as the belt pulls the holster against the hip and side. For bigger guys... (chubby) .. okay... (fatboys) .. it will cause the gun to tuck under. The gun and holster are BEHIND the belt. If you are carrying OWB, the holster is riding outside the beltline. Even a well designed holster is still going to ride a bit farther out than an IWB. However, this is just me. I haven't been thin since shortly after bootcamp when I started lifting more and got upper body size. I was 5'11" and 190 most of my military career, and about 210 to 220 until too many surgeries pushed the weight up.

However, I had NO problem with the draw as I was shooting competition and drawing, A LOT, both from a standard duty holster and from off duty rigs in various other matches. Plus I practiced a lot since I made sure I had a range at my home once I owned a home away from town. I normally carried IWB just behind the right hip. The gun concealed easily, and was out of the way of the seat belt... didn't bang on chairs when I sat, and fit in the cushion gap on the couch.

These days, I prefer my vest, or the shoulder holster, weather permitting. Neither wheelchair has arms, so that same carry position works in the chair, if it's too hot for the P220. 8-)
You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I don't look back at the things I can no longer do, I just look forward to the things I still can.
