Storms still going on. No let up till tomorrow sometime. Lightning & thunder playing around close by.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
32, clear skies and windy. Rained all day yesterday.
Folgers and a hunk of ring bologna for breakfast.
Palm Sunday church and then my friend and I are going an hour north
with a car trailer to bring back my old Explorer. My DIL has had it for
about five years and it needs work. If it isn't too worn out I'll fix it up
and give it to my Grandson.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
we awoke to a cool 66 degree morning with 20+ mph wind gust and light rain that is supposed to hang around for at least another hour on the banks of Lake Conroe .... the rain is supposed to move on but the wind is supposed to hang around for a while .... Folgers flowing through a Henry mug, breakfast will come along shortly .... watching "Destry" filmed in 1954 staring Audie Murphy and Mari Blanchard

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Low 40's, very windy with rain and a snowfall warning for later. Might go make smoke at the range, or just do some stuff in the workshop today. Tea in the Henry mug.

64° and only headed up to about 70°. Coffee, eggs, bacon, and a slab of banana bread for breakfast. Probably will do some work and thinking hard about getting back to the range.

I’m taking firearms to Cabelas every Sunday and Wednesday. I’m taking some in today so it must be Wednesday. Right?

Currently 45 and cloudy, forgot to look at the thermo when I got up but no frost so the overnight temp stayed in the 30’s. Big wind warning for later today lasting into tomorrow. Worst of it will be to the south of us so fingers crossed we don’t get any tree damage. Planning on starting the generator here in a bit and staging it in case of a power outage.
Gonzaga mens basketball plays their sweet 16 game today at 11:00 pacific time. Go Zags, they will have a tough matchup playing Creighton who is very similar to Gonzaga with a high scoring offense.
I’m recording the dirt race from Bristol today as it starts before the basketball game ends. Haven’t followed NASCAR much this year but have to take in this unique (for current times) race. Heard the truck race was a flop due to the wet track and mud on the windscreen and I’m hearing todays race could have the same outcome. Bummer.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Raining here so will pass on the range today. Just working in the shop making an antler powder measure, I was able to locate a local source for Triple 7 powder in Lethbridge yesterday which is much better than driving to Calgary. He also had .495 lead balls but I have not shot any yet in the rifle so I didn't buy more. If the ones I have load ok, I will get more of them. .490's are scarce now, I bought the last 2 boxes he had yesterday. I still have a line on 4 boxes of .480's which I'll order this week. That will put my stock level up where it should be.

I see quite a few places here online have .490 but no .495. Thinking of just trying the cast balls that October Country does. Not sure which outfits ship your direction.RanchRoper wrote: ↑Sun Mar 28, 2021 1:24 pmRaining here so will pass on the range today. I am trying to find out if lead balls can ship to Canada. If considered ammo then not likely. I would like to try some Oct Country ones too. I asked if they have stock and he said no issues they make them every day.

Just made a trip to the neighboring town, about 10 miles from me, had to cross the Cumberland river. It is now 2 feet above flood stage & rolling. No surprise as it rained big time from 6 am yesterday to 3 am this morning.
Wed. more of the same.
