Our Morning Coffee and Weather

Black Silk and Honey Bunches of Oats this morning.
34 degrees and supposed to be above normal for today and tomorrow. High of 60 or so.
Then Sunday evening the rain moves in for three or four days with temps in the 40s.
Work in the shop today.

another cool but beautiful morning on the banks of Lake Conroe .... 41 degrees on its way to 69 .... trip to the local post office on tap for sometime this morning .... sausage from home, eggs from Walmart, and Folgers bought in bulk at Sam's months ago in Raleigh ... watching "PT109" made in 1963 staring Cliff Robertson ....

46° this morning on the dog walk. I guess it'll get close to 70 today. Have to get off my arse and get some work done today.

30 and heading to the low 40’s. Had a snow/hail/graupel event overnight, just enough to make the ground white. Just Eastern Washington State’s way of greeting the first day of spring.

Big basketball weekend for me. We have four local teams in the NCAA championship.

Gonzaga Men. Overall #1 seed
Gonzaga Women. #5 seed
Eastern Washington University Men. #14 seed (Cheney WA, 15 miles west of Spokane)
Washington State University Women. #9 seed. (Pullman WA, 80 miles south of Spokane)

All games are televised so I’ll be wearing out my recliner this weekend.

It was low 40's today and windy. Same tomorrow I think. Probably go to the range in the morning and make some more smoke....nobody there usually if it's cold and windy.

30 this morning but supposed to hit 60. Waffles, sausage and hot coffee while I figure out what I have to do today. Got my second shot Thursday and was feeling a little tired and achey Friday but Saturday I was fine. Checked out a Dodge Ram van yesterday but it was the small City van and that was not what I need.

46° this morning walking dogs. Supposed to get up to 74°. Just had cereal, English muffin, and coffee. I don't have much energy going but will get some work done today.

29 heading to 42 and overcast. Not too impressed with spring so far.

Yesterday my neighbor asked me to stop by and help him determine where to put a short shooting range. He’s thinking Rimfire but it would be fine for centerfire too. Of course in the last few years I have sold or traded all my Rimfire handguns off. So after reading about some members success with the Ruger Marks I’m going up to my LGS today to see what is in stock. Here I go again........

Good day yesterday on the basketball front. The Eastern Washington Eagles lost to perineal powerhouse Kansas by nine but led most of the game. They played great and even tho it ended up being a loss they have nothing to be sad about. Gonzaga as expected destroyed Norfolk by around 40 points. Norfolk played very well and like the Eagles they should hold their heads up high and be proud of their effort.

48 on its way to 72 under a hazy sky on the banks of Lake Conroe .... they are showing only a 1% chance of rain today but a 50% or more chance on each of the next four days .... no major plans for today .... watching "Big Jake" made back in 1971 and is one of my favorite John Wayne movies .... regular breakfast with Folgers flowing through a Bar Harbor, Maine mug

37 here and headed to maybe mid fortys more snow scheduled. Got the 5er washed winterized again and put away. I was beat last night after unloading and doing all that. Man a nice shower would feel good. Hah no hot water. Hmmmm wonder whats wrong. Went to the basement to check and no pilot light. Tried to get it going but no luck. Went to bed and now Im having a cup of Joe before going to get a thermocouple.

Eight deer just passed my back door. Even had a fawn in the group. When they came to the fence I put up last week they didn’t know what to do.

After church we drove by our favorite little breakfast spot just to see if we could get in.
Guess what ? We got there early enough to get right in.
This is a really small town pearl. Narrow and long with an old tin ceiling. Old signs on the walls too.
Farm fresh eggs over easy, hash browns fried crisp, country fried steak with homemade sausage gravy
and whole wheat toast washed down with really good coffee.
Total bill with the tip for both of us was $25.00.
The trick is to get there as quick as you can. As we left there were other church folks still waiting in line.
I don't do lines.

68 now, suns out. Looks like a good lawn mowing day, + laundry.

Just finished off a 16cup percolator of Black Silk and a banana. Started at 38* warming to 67* and sunny. A bit breezy. Going to pick up another chicken coop that the owner doesn't want anymore. I'm going to put 6 Orpingtons in it. They make a fine extra large brown egg. Will let them free range in the back yard.
