Another one gone
I transferred another 39A Marlin to the new owner. Did the dealer transfer Saturday at my local gun shop. It was a mint condition 1974 year 24" barrel model. Got a good price for it because of the excellent condition. He didn't want the peep sight so I lowered the price down $30 for the Williams FP sight. I was below the crazy gunbroker prices but at least I didn't have to ship it. Down to only five 39A's left now counting her AWL and my 1897 Century Limited. The lever action novelty has worn off a little and the bolt actions are being shot all the time now. We still have levers to shoot when we want to including my very good shooting Henry Frontier. We have a fun day now and then shooting reactive targets instead of paper shooting.

Re: Another one gone
Lots of people selling lots of firearms. A 39A would be hard to part with.

At least Bandit still has more. I have one and will keep it. But I have parted with other guns that I thought I wouldnt. Gets down to for me anyway am I going to shoot them or just store them so I can say I have one.

Good for you, bandit. We've been doing much the same thing, so I do understand. Just had too many cartridge guns in the safe that we weren't shooting, so we figured it was time to sell them while the prices were so good.
We kept all our 1885 Low Walls (lever guns, right?) and our very best CZs, so we still have plenty to shoot. We've been holding off on shooting these until the ammo situation settles down a bit, though.
