This is the steel .45 Colt Carbine side gate at Buds!!! :o :( https://www.budsgunshop.com/product_inf ... large+loop

Never thought I would see such price gouging from Buds! Maybe Cheaper Than Dirt bought them out!

No more buying thru them! Henry list it for $ 988.00

I never bought from any of the online guys anyway, although back in the days before the internet, I did have a few sellers I trusted in the "Shotgun News," I bought from on a regular basis, using my local FFL when needed. ;)

I guess that big, thick, newspaper style weekly, was our shooter's webpage of the time. It took a few days to go thru page by page, then go digging, research the items you wanted. :) Great way to relax...

I looked back and paid $ 831 for my CCH .45 Colt Carbine from Buds back in July 2020.

I think a lot of people/shops/on-line, etc. for anything related to firearms, are piggy backing on the whole Covid & Biden gun control things, media reporting of continuing protests and crime, and several other factors; which has created a self-reinforcing vicious circle, and a level of chaos we haven't experienced in a very long time. There's a lot of angst out there and those that are looking to make some extra money are taking advantage of it.

If you sold ten firearms and made a thousand dollars you could pay the rent. If you only have one to sell your rent is still a thousand dollars. If you sell that single firearm and made a thousand dollars on it then you can still pay the rent. Selling it and only making a hundred doesn’t solve your rent problem.

Blame the situation not Buds.

That one will be there for a while unless somebody has a real need for it and very deep pockets!!! They get there guns from various distributors.
If Henry is really cranking them out Buds could buy direct from Henry.

When I bought my .CCH 45 carbine last year they were difficult to find but Buds had a few of them and the price was below MSRP.

Maybe I missed part of the story. Did it have an 18” bar and auto oiler.

Paid $794.72 for my Marlin .45 LC Cowboy ( with shipping and insurance) last summer. I wonder what it's going for today. It's out of stock on Buds.

According to the Henry website today, the MSR Price for the H012GCR (.45 LC Carbine) is $969.00

A little over a week ago, I purchased the H012GR (.44 Mag Carbine) at a local gun shop in Indiana for $779.99 and Henry MSR on that carbine is also $969.00

No doubt they're gouging, never done any business with them.
Have been tempted to stop in one of their stores a time or two when traveling to SC.
Now I will not even give it a second thought this Summer as I pass by very closely.

It seems Bud's has gone off the deep end. That very same rifle is available on Gunbroker for $799 plus shipping.

I don't know what's wrong with Bud's, but at this rate they are going to loose business.

Just realized the one I posted on GB is not a side gate. Seems they are very popular now and are going for more.

It looks like Bud's has lost touch or is just getting greedy. To the member that commented about the Marlin rifle, they are not being made now and won't be until Ruger gets the one hundred truck loads of Marlin machinery sorted out and put back in operation.
